Walker's at least showing the ability to steal bases...but, not unlike Juan Pierre the first 2 1/2 months, it doesn't help if you can't get on base frequently enough. I like that Walker had a couple of assists, throwing a guy out trying to stretch a single into a double and throwing a runner out at 3rd trying to advance on a single. Teams that were generally ranked below them, like the Brewers and Astros, have seen really good years for their minor leaguers and/or traded for prospects. Like you said, the Brewers and Astros have been jolted by this year's draft and trades. I can't imagine another system worse than ours as of right now.
