Marty34
I thought the problem was Dunn, Guillen's lineup? Looks like things go a bit deeper than that. You lineup gurus ought to look at our 2B and particularly, the sacred cows of this board, the SS, RF'er and of course Hollywood. Bruce Chen is terrible. Milkman delivers
Were we just referred to as scared cows? But seriously, there will be some major changes in the offseason in the front office and management. And that makes me very happy.

I want 9 OG type players in the lineup. They'd score 7 runs on 10 hits. All year.
South Side Fireworks Man
The problem runs deeper than Dunn. Dunn is a symptom. The problem is Walker and Ozzie.
Marty34
Despite what many on Soxtalk believe, there is no lineup combination on this roster that would average 6 runs a game. Edited August 13, 2011 by Marty34

PeavyTime
The inability for everyone on the roster to not be able to hit soft tossing lefties is a direct reflection on Greg Walker and his strategy for hitting that type of pitcher. Marty34
QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 10:48 AM) The inability for everyone on the roster to not be able to hit soft tossing lefties is a direct reflection on Greg Walker and his strategy for hitting that type of pitcher. I wish it were that simple. I do think though that they could benefit some from a different approach, but again that's Hollywood's call. I didn't even post on this site much when the A-Gon stuff came up. I honestly don't care about that. I don't dislike Cowley because of that. I dislike him for some of the other stuff he's said or done (like basically calling Gavin Floyd brain-dead) and just being an ass in general.
