"There's a shot what new".

If this was a classic Nintendo game, this inning Peavy would have been the pitcher who couldn't throw the ball hard and his drop pitch was no longer hitting the ground, but rather floating up to the plate while Peavy was sweating on the mound.

Last year and this year have seemed the same one extension of stupidity

I think it is a complete house cleaning that is needed GM, Mrg and personnel

Needed for 3 years running.

I think it'll happen.

This team has QUIT in September written all over it. A pathetic/give up finish will be the end of Oz for sure and hopefully Kenny.

The amount of pressure the Sox pitchers have had to pitch under this year is unbelievable. Crain knows that a hit here virtually ends the game because as Farmio put it so well lastnight "Royals up 2...feels like 10".

Indeed, and I feel like we're beginning to see it take a toll on our starters (besides Buehrle). There was a 2 or 3 week stretch where our starters didn't throw a pitch in which we led by more than 3 runs.

This is why when people say the Sox starters should be more rested for the stretch run this year because we went 6-man for most of it I just shake my head. The amount of "pressure" pitches the guys have thrown this year is laughable.

There aren't many instances this season where the offense has bailed out one of our pitchers who made a mistake. Monday night in Baltimore was a VERY rare occurance.
