The Ginger Kid
I'm so confused - this is the 2nd time Lilli has come in after a Dunn AB to play 1B. Why not let him hit for Dunn?

Harry Chappas
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) I'm so confused - this is the 2nd time Lilli has come in after a Dunn AB to play 1B. Why not let him hit for Dunn? didn't dunnce face a leftie too? guillen does not understand a platoon or when to pinch hit for batters that have no chance the only time he will pinch hit for a guy is if they have less than 1000 major league at-bats Edited August 17, 2011 by Harry Chappas

JohnCangelosi
I didn't mind Hafner's HR there that much, Sale had to challenge him in that situation. If you go to the hook/slider on 3-2 there is too big of a chance of walking him. Obviously it didn't work out but it's a good thing we still have the lead going into the 9th. Let's get some insurance here.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 09:57 PM) I don't think AJ calls his games. He is always looking into the dugout before calling pitches AJ calls pitches. He looks to the dugout for pitchout calls and throws to first. They actually tell the pitcher to throw to first these days.
