Princess Dye
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:26 PM) This game is the season, pretty much. Lose this and we're in serious jeopardy of falling apart. This is basically said here daily
macsandz
QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) Worthless pile of dung. I sighed when he came into centerfield. Because this year he's not good at, you know, playing centerfield. It's AMAZING with Rios and Dunn. They have literally cursed this team. Every time they have any kind of chance to help, they fail. EPIC FAIL.
Steve9347
QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:29 PM) My problem is de aza looks like he wants to be there rios just doesn't give a damn anymore F*ck Rios. F*ck him right in the f*cking ear.

caulfield12
If Rios is the starting CFer on this team next year, they might as well not even play the season. It will be just more of the same. We'd be better off with Ozzie and Carlos Zambrano than Rios. Rios catches that stupid ball and it's a game-ending double play. You'd swear he was taking money to throw games with the way he's played defensively this season.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Isn't that every single bad Santos appearance has been at home? Pretty much, considering he hasn't allowed a run on the road this season.
macsandz
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:29 PM) It's not though...he got Hafner with two sliders there. His fastball is so straight, it's the only prayer hitters have against him. It only took him 4 lefty hitters over 20 pitches to find it...
caulfield12
Of course, we're 5-10 or something like that in extra innings...maybe worse? Would the White Sox be better off if they played their games in front of a completely empty home stadium? fathom
BTW, Cooper waiting way too long to go out to the mound and calm down Santos. He should have been out there after ball 1 to Brantley, as it was obvious Santos was overthrowing.
Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:29 PM) It's AMAZING with Rios and Dunn. They have literally cursed this team. Every time they have any kind of chance to help, they fail. EPIC FAIL. It's high-time. Put either Rios or Dunn's ass on the DL, and get Viciedo up here. The acceptance of their performances needs to stop -- NOW.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 10:33 PM) For the rest of the night maybe. Carry-over to tomorrow such a myth, IMO. Most of the time I would agree, but this is the type of game the Sox have blown all year, especially when they get to the .500 mark. A win may give them a spark. Sox with 4 triples tonight. caulfield12
4 triples in one game? July 30th, 1973 the last time that happened in Sox history. Lance Johnson once had 3 triples in a single game, individually. Flowers and DeAza providing some hope for the future of this organization. Beckham certainly hasn't. Morel...well, who knows? 0% confidence in a Beckham hit here. Which means he'll probably come through just because...
