greg775
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 04:06 AM) He's killing us. That may have been the biggest, saddest out of the season. The ease with which he can be had low and away OR up is scary. Can we see him, Dunn, Rios, Morel etc. with someone besides Walker??? Whenever I watch a game on TV, Beckham is always fouling the ball straight back. Then he ultimately whiffs or hits it unhard right at somebody. Has anybody else noticed all the meaningless foul balls? Is it all that stupid hitch? You are always gonna be late when you hitch like that. Result? Foul it straight back. He's a mess. I wonder what his BP will be at season's end.
southsideirish71
Here is ssi's formula for the rest of the year. 1. fire Greg walker and mike gelinger. 2. Release Omar and replace him with Viciedo. 3. Put Humber in the pen, and Zach in the rotation. 4. Rios is your 4th of. He doesn't start at all anymore. 5. Viciedo is the new dh the minute kong gets healthy enough to play first. Dunn is bench filler. 6. Frasor and ohm an don't see anything but low leverage situations. 7. Peavy is on a pitch count watch. The minute 75pitches hits, get the bullpen ready.

southsideirish71
4 runs given up by our staff seems like 10. Most teams with competent offenses can overcome a 2 run deficit.

greg775
It's like we're held prisoner for the future since Oz won't take KW on his offer to sit Dunn and Rios. I hope our new manager is willing to sit the two of them next year. They HAVE to be subs. Do we have any other candidates for 2B next spring training? Can DeAza play second? Switch him over and Danks II in center? Edited August 19, 2011 by greg775
kitekrazy
You really have to worry about the next 2 series. I can't see them dominating the Rangers and then it's to the West Coast were they don't fare too well.

greg775
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 04:22 AM) Let's see if another coach can help him out. He has regressed with the current deer stand buddy. Yes, hopefully the new hitting coach will be forceful, laugh in his face at his stance/approach. That should humble Gordon into taking the new hitting coach's suggestions to heart. Hopefully the new coach will just say, 'Look everybody in the league is laughing at what you are doing with your talent. Here's a better stance." Walker probably acts like Gordon is close to being a good hitter. He needs a revamp. Edited August 19, 2011 by greg775
