ChiliIrishHammock24
Great throw by Alexei. RIGHT over his shoulder on a bullet to Tyler. Love it when that works out.

Thad Bosley
I can't help but think what difference the extra 20+ homers Dunn should have had by now would have made on this season to date.
fathom
Wow, just some terrible baseball tonight. Once again, playing like a team that wants to get the season done as soon as possible. Dunn shouldn't get one more f***ing start this year over Viciedo.
winninguglyin83
bad play. But unlike Dunn, at least flowers A) hit the ball and B) hustled his ass off.

witesoxfan
Flowers is a bit of a breath of fresh air from AJ, but he still has a lot to refine in his game next year. He will be best served being the backup next year because he will learn the small things like that on the major league team, and there should be plenty of playing time. kapzk
Pretty close play... atleast we can applaud the effort and aggressiveness shown there by Flowers which is lacking by many others from this team.
caulfield12
Mental/physical error #5 or #6 tonight. We're just not good enough to cover up all those mistakes. Shame on Ozzie for never holding a single player accountable all season except Rios for 2 games.
greg775
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 03:25 AM) As awful as this season has been, it's completely depressing to think the Sox are stuck with Rios and Dunn for three more seasons. Dunn is finished. He's inept. There isn't one thing he does at the major league level -- hit for average (no), hit for power (no), run (no), field (no) and catch (no). The Chairman needs to make somebody answer for wasting $56 million. It's ridiculous. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) You are confusing "having a bad season" with "has no skills". Dunn has more power than almost anyone in this league, and to think otherwise is ridiculous, really. 1.) We can't contend with Dunn and Rios. So we are in for a long season again next year. 2.) People that think Dunn can rebound ... well we have no argument against you cause he can suck and suck and you can always say, "He'll turn it around." It's like people who this year said "it's early" all year long. Hell a lot of people think we're still in the race cause "there's time." It'll finally run out and then the word will be wait til next year when Dunn and Rios return to form. At some point you have to accept facts: Dunn and Rios are done.
