greg775
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 05:04 AM) Just for fun, not a good last two days for Kenny Williams: - Hudson dominates and goes 8.2 innings and gives up 2 runs - De Los Santos gets a win - Brandon Allen hits two mammoth homers - Nick Swisher hits two homers - Jason Frasor picks up loss for Sox - Zach Stewart gets bombed by Angels Wow. You have to throw Dunn in there as well. The continuing Dunn suckiness.
Milkman delivers
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) Sox getting worked over pretty good by Angels. This is another obvious thing that had to happen in this s*** season. We need to get that road record back to about .500 where it belongs to go with our lousy home record. Because f*** 'em. Sorry, just channeling Will Hunting. But seriously, I'm sure the team doesn't even give a s*** anymore, just like us.
fathom
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 05:04 AM) I can't believe how big a fool I was to doubt this team's ability to come back and take the division. I hope everyone got their playoff money in. Lol My new goals for rest of season: - 0 for remainder of year for Juan Pierre (so we don't re-sign him) - 0 for remainder of year for Adam Dunn (one in a million chance he'll retire) - consistent playing time for Viciedo, De Aza, Morel, Flowers - Sox to trade Thornton - call up Addison Reed - lose enough games to have a top 10 draft pick
greg775
Sox are really getting smoked, 8-0. There really was no rhyme or reason for our good road record. That was kinda crazy when you think about it. It's going to be weird as a fan starting next season. There's really going to be no reason to believe if most of these guys are back. Nobody in the media has given us any hints on Ozzie and Kenny assuredly being gone. You'd have to think that story will leak soon. They both have to be out. Milkman delivers
Lol honestly, this team is fun to watch for comedic value. They're SO bad.
greg775
Ozzie has one year left, right? This is about the time last year they asked him about his contract and all hell broke loose. I would think that question has to come up soon. Ozzie seems to be a realist about such matters. Wonder if he'll say something wild like, 'If I was jerry I wouldn't extend me.' Milkman delivers
Cmon guys, show some positivity! We still have one more inning to tie this up. Our negativity surely helps nothing, and it probably hurts our team. So turn those frowns upside down and get your rally caps on

According to Retrosheet.com the Sox have had a total of 103 players make an appearance in at least one game since the start of the 2007 season through Tuesday night. claydude14
QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 25, 2011 -> 12:03 AM) I know hindsight is 20/20 but was there really a reason to send Stewart out there in the 7th? THIS. WTF. Just because a guy ain't at 100 pitches you don't go to the bullpen? So pissed off right now. We have an off day tomorrow, why don't you go to the bullpen in the 7th with a rookie on the mound? Ugh. I'm a pessimist and I'm ready to be all out. All Out is the only place to be. This team never had a prayer and yet refused to make any significant changes. Even DeAza hasn't played enough until CQ got hurt. Flowers is playing cause AJP and Castro are hurt. No changes. Except for Zach and some hack relievers. I'd think they'd want to announce Oz and KW being gone soon so they can get a manager hired right at the end of the season and get a GM here to start planning his rebuild. But I mean, what's a normal number? How does that 103 compare to like the Red Sox, Rays, or Pirates over that time? As far as I know, 103 could be in the middle of the pack. That's what I am talking about, I have no frame of reference to compare that number to.

I doubt the better teams have that high of a turnover.
