dyuen
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) Where does Peavy get off talking about how he just wants to get to the off season so he can return to normal? What a f***ing asshole. I've been a defender of this guy up to today but no more, not after those remarks he made. Narcissistic jag. The Tigers magic # is what, 24? And this guy is talking like it's over. glad to have you aboard and this whole bulldog mentality he tries to portray is all a fraud
Marty34
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) I will add...PECOTA had the White SOX in 3rd place, as a .500 team, because it predicted a falloff from an aging Paul Konerko. So the Sox are slightly outperforming PECOTA on record, but their run differential (-2) is right where Pecota thought it would be. So this team is not underachieving. Balta1701
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 04:54 PM) So this team is not underachieving. Again, it depends on how much weight you put into any particular part. We're not underachieving because PECOTA thought Konerko would fall off a cliff, Konerko has had an incredible year. If you gave that nugget to PECOTA, it'd think we'd be close to first place. That's the fun of PECOTA sometimes. In 2007 I think everyone would say we massively underachieved, but PECOTA was right on with a terrible record, but PECOTA totally missed why. Leonard Zelig
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 06:59 PM) I believe it's less than 24. 163(total games +1)-75(Tiger wins)-66(Sox losses)=22 Sox number to win the division is 33. Thank you, sir. That 22 doesn't sound so bad, but somehow the 33 seems nearly impossible.

I am going camping this weekend and will have no access to phone or internet. It would be great to come home and see a 2.5 game lead.
