flavum
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 2, 2011 -> 01:16 PM) no hector? bummer I think he'll be up when Birmingham's season ends. On a separate note, they could probably 60-day DL Pena and Castro, if they want to add players who aren't currently on the 40-man. Milledge maybe? GoSox05
Shane Lindsay should be intresting.
Cali
Hell yes for Reed although there's a big chance Ozzie won't use him at all or just bring him in in weird situations... Surprised neither Danks2 or Milledge are getting a call-up, if only for the fact they could be better pinch runners for Paulie then Omar Vizquel (or Zach Stewart haha)

I agree, I am really curious to see what he looks like out there. Also psyched to see the other two.
elrockinMT
Reed was the one there was a question about being brought up, but his record would seem to support the move

elrockinMT
I would think Escobar might play in a game or two to rest Alexei Edited September 2, 2011 by elrockinMT
ILMOU
Reed's major league clock starts today. IMO, this guy is too good not to stick. Milb numbers stack up nicely with the Kimbrels and Storens' of the world. Can't wait to see him against the big leaguers. Lindsay is also intriguing in a goofy way - maybe Coop can teach him to throw more strikes.
Balta1701
link Shane Lindsay said his mother Kerry spent about $4,000 just to fly from Melbourne, Australia, to see him make his major league debut Friday night at Comerica Park. Little did Lindsay know that his mother's eventful journey would touch many members of the Chicago White Sox's staff, including manager Ozzie Guillen and wife Ibis. "Right after the game I went to pick up my wife, and I see her with tears and I was worried about something happening at home," Guillen said. "But when she told me (about Lindsay's mother), I forgot about who (Justin) Verlander was right away and how bad we played. It was something very positive out of a bad game. It puts you on the spot to say, ‘wow, how lucky we are. How easy we live.' It’s a great thing when you see that happen around you." Lindsay said his mother left Australia at about 4 a.m., made a connecting flight through Dallas and arrived at Comerica Park in time for the game but couldn't contact him in time for a ticket. So she ended up buying a standing room only ticket and watched the game from above the Sox's bullpen and got the attention of her son. "I think that’s the best thing that happened to the White Sox, or the one that made me happier," Guillen said. "That’s a great thing when your mom comes al the way to see you and you have the opportunity and have that great thing about your kids. I think that’s one of the best things I hear in a long time. "You fly all over to come see your kid get his dream come true. There is not a better feeling than that. When you are a parent, that’s why you raise your kids to make sure they get their goals. Believe me, I don’t get too sensitive about too much stuff, and that one made me forget how bad we played. Right away it made me forget. "It was a great thing that happened to us, at least to me. I know a couple of players had a conversation with her. There is nothing better than when your kids have success. That’s one of the biggest thrills you can have as a parent." danman31
Good for him! He had fantastic numbers and really deserves this. Hopefully he can become a No. 4/5 type in the Majors. The Sox certainly need the SP depth.
