dasox24
I don't know if anyone cares, but I read something about Beane that was pretty interesting. As y'all know, he loves to draft college players. But, Beane, himself, was a first round draft pick in 1980 out of high school. I thought that was pretty ironic. Anyway, just though I'd share that. The book, Moneyball, begins with the whole story. Much of what he does is based on his own failed experiences.

I need to read "Moneyball." It sounds like it's pretty interesting, but I've never really found time to read it.

dasox24
DaSox, How can anyone not have time to read a single book. In the time I could be reading, I just get on this message board. It's addicting.
clujer420
DaSox, How can anyone not have time to read a single book. Sitting and reading a book isn't for everyone. I know I have a very hard time doing it unless it's something fascinating to me.

I actually laughed out loud when I read it, and I don't normally laugh when I just read something.

I saw it at an apartment complex on the community bulletin board this morning, and thought it was really funny. Glad you enjoyed it.
Jim Fainter
Clujer, it's not quite as funny when you're at the bottom of that list. I'll be plagerizing that, if you don't mind.
