As long as the Tigers win two games the rest of the season, the Sox will have to win out. Seems possible.

If the Tigers win just one game, the Sox only have to go 14-1 to take this thing. That's merely a .933 winning percentage, which I think we can pull off since he have yet to hit our real hot streak this season. Take a look at the Tigers' remaining schedule. It's no cakewalk and they're sure to fall apart as they're so prone to do (that one time in 2006). Our destiny is in our own hands.

I think as long as we show nothing but support and really get the positive mojo flowing, there's just about nothing that can stop us.

OK, so we didn't get it done today. But as I said above, we are still in this thing. Please, nothing but positive thoughts, people!

Trust me on this...NO ONE wants to face our starting pitching come to the postseason. Can you imagine Peavy in the postseason? I'm sure there's no one that would be better in a postseason game than he would be.

There's still the wild card hopes. We will have to keep our eyes on TB and Boston.

Eh, as you've said, this year's AL playoffs are going to be about the offenses and that's why NOBODY wants to face us. With the power that Dunn and Rios supply in the heart of order, we have a real good shot at taking the American League pennant.

Does it make me bad SOX fan that I'd actually consider rooting for Detroit to win this postseason?

I won't root for them, as last thing we need is for that organization to gain even more momentum. Lots of things going well for them the last year or so.

Well IMO there are only 2 likable teams left in contention and they're the Angels and Rays who are on the outside looking in right now. If either of those 2 make it then I root for them, if not, then I cheer for anyone but the Red Sox.

I don't mind the Rangers, and to be honest, I have no problem rooting for Granderson and the Yankees.

Why has he failed so much this year?

Did you even read my post? Rookie, second year as a pitcher.

And failed so much?? How so?? Up to today he has 5 blown saves and ridiculous numbers. Hitters are hitting .164 off of him and he has a 1.02 WHIP. He has the second best K/9 of any closer in baseball. The guy is legit.

I can't stand the Rangers. To be honest, I've never really despised the Yankees as much as everyone else but they're still not "likable" to me. Like I said, I'm either rooting for the Angels/Rays or anyone that isn't the Red Sox.

I'm all over the Brew Crew, LOVE to see other NL central teams win when the Cubs blow.

Oh ya definitely, I was just talking about the AL there. As I already said in the MLB catch all, besides whoever is playing Boston, the Brewers are my adopted team come the postseason.

Yep. Hope the Yankees lose, hope the Phillies lose more, and REALLY hope the Red Sox lose.
