VictoryMC98
Do you want to explain how veterans consistently fail in Chicago, and yet that is Kenny Williams fault? Give me some examples...
VictoryMC98
Like giving Ozzie new players pretty much every year? Yep, getting a pile of dog dung, and go.. make it gold.. yeah that's Ozzie's fault.
Melissa1334
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) Do you want to explain how veterans consistently fail in Chicago, and yet that is Kenny Williams fault? were not saying its kws fault. but its not ozzies either. if anything it has more to do with walker , i think, and thats why kw got into a huge fight with him. but basically were saying he should be held accountable not that theyre failing because of him
southsider2k5
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 09:05 AM) Nice find, and if that is the case.. I blame Kenny.. if a player is on the decline, and you ink him to a huge $ 4 year deal.. What player is going to go nope, I really don't deserve it. Then for the fans, the easy scapegoat is the manager. And Kenny wasn't the only one chasing after him. Washington was going to give him the same money, and Detroit wanted him really bad. Out of curiousity, if the Sox have a new manager and Dunn bounces back to near career norms, would you then think Ozzie is part of the problem here? It sure happened with Nick Swisher and Javy Vazquez once they left here.

Plus you still haven't been able to explain the stadium thing, the spring training thing, nor why these guys fail when they get here. So I guess you can't be shot down when you just ignore every challenge that gets made to you.

StrangeSox
Javy had two mediocre seasons and one good season here. He had a fantastic season in 2009 after leaving the White Sox and then two mediocre seasons after that. that's probably a wash.

It sure happened with Nick Swisher and Javy Vazquez once they left here. i dont think so. javy just blows lol he was really good in 06 with ozzie then sucked in 07 with ozzie. yea he did good for the braves but then sucked with the yanks and did so so with the marlins this year. and swisher and dunn, swisher we dont know what could of happend the 2nd year and we dont know with dunn either. i think that when a hitter loses himself a little, like gets into a long slump and his stance gets out of wack, walker cant help and thats the problem. like beckham. now he cant hit 88 mph fastballs?? thats not ozzie or just beckham being garbage theres something wrong there

Even when proven wrong you stick to your guns. You mean the Vazquez who left the Sox and had his career best year the very next year? The one who dropped his era 1.80, his whip 0.3, 1.8 less H/9, 0.3 less HR/9, 0.8 less BB/9, and 1.2 more K/9? Nah, I don't know why I would think he got better once he left Chicago. StrangeSox
QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 09:26 AM) No.. he would have won the CY in 2010, if it wasn't for those pesky stats. Uh he was 4th in voting for the Cy Young the year after he left, you might want to drop that argument: both because of the fact that he had a phenomenal 2009 and because "winning the Cy Young" isn't the only way for a player to be better, so it's just a dumb argument anyway. What is your next work? na-na-na? I guess when you are wrong, just look the other way.. You want to prove Ozzie was the problem, then gave some examples.. which were debunked, then attacked on other things.. and now try to save face, by spinning again. Look if you can't come up with examples, then we are done.
