Rex Hudler
Does anyone know the highest draft pick from our draft this year that was unsigned? Ricky Brooks, a RHP out of a NY HS was the Sox 11th round pick.

forkit
Rex: I know we had a great year, signing the top ten. Are we likely to sign more of these guys or is that it? Thanks. Forkit!

Honestly, I have no idea. There is always a chance that someone could be signed up until the day they go back to school in a college player's situation or enroll in college for a HS player. Obviously that could be coming soon. Also, all of these guys will be watched and the Sox may try to sign some before next year's draft, hence the term "draft and follow". forkit
Let me try a different angle then: Is there anyone on that unsigned list that is a glaring "sign him!" Or because they signed the top ten [including the SS] the lesser rounds are not as mandatory this draft? Thanks. Forkit!

forkit
Higher than? Out of line? Looks they were willing to spend plenty so far. Just curious. Forkit!

Ditto, those are the only two that the draft junkies seem to want bad. I don't know a lot about them, but they supposedly dropped in the draft due to perceived bonus demands. I do know that Moviel is signed to play for Vanderbilt.
MnSoxFan
I would like to see Brooks and Hodges besides two already mentioned. I think those 4 were deemed unsignable, so if we get any of them I would feel good.

My top 3 priorities for signing players that haven't signed yet would be: 1. Donald Veal 2. Paul Moviel 3. Wes Hodges

Veal fell because he had a written committment to Arizona, and said he was very doubtful that he would sign. He turned down a 500,000 dollar bonus from the Yankees before the draft, so he fell. Veal was a 2nd to 3rd rounder.
