Guest wsc425
I heard from talking to Jose's cousin that he heard that when Bartolo pitches he gets a new haircut. The guy goes and gets his, and talks to Colon. Colon said that he wants to stay here, he likes it here, it feels like home to him. WOO! witesoxfan
That doesn't mean JR will dish out the $10 mill per that Colon will want. JR controls who will and won't sign with the White Sox, though if the Sox win, that assclown better pay up.
Jim Fainter
I just read today that the beloved Yankees are targeting Colon and Millwood for free agency next off season. What will Georgey Porgey pay for those two? If the Sox want Colon, they should do it now.
winninguglyin83
plus Buehrle and Garland go to arbitration next year and Loaiza is going to get a bump going to be expensive to keep this staff together -- another reason to win NOW

witesoxfan
plus Buehrle and Garland go to arbitration next year and Loaiza is going to get a bump going to be expensive to keep this staff together -- another reason to win NOW We have an option for Loaiza for next year. I think it's worth $3.5 mill. I hope we get Buehrle inked to a 3 or 4 year deal, and we get Garland to the same(only his will be for slightly less $$$). What I hope for is that those 3's will make around $9 mill next year, and we resign the guys we need to(I'd love to have Robbie Alomar back, and I hope we pick up Jose's option. Gordon most likely will be here, I hope Maggs is resigned long term, and we have to keep one of Everett and Lee. Getting Daubach back wouldn't hurt, and I'd talk to Sandy to see if he wants to come back next year as a coach. I also believe Graffy is a FA, so getting him back would be nice as well) If we want to resign a lot of these guys, cash will need to be shelled out. I just hope JR does it. Our payroll will probably be around $70 mill. Not too much, to tell the truth.

We have to sign Colon..give him the 10 mill...if we do that then we can still have the main 4 of Colon, Loaiza, Buehrle, and Garland... who knows how the offense is gonna look next year.. with at least signing Colon you know what the rotation is gonna look like and can feel pretty good about it.. You gotta keep the pitching

You gotta keep the pitching I tell ya, the sox starting pitching is about as good as its gonna get in the AL, this side of Oakland. If the sox can keep the big 4 intact, theyll compete for years, just like the A's. If we can keep an offense, even better.

I think it was clujer who mentioned to me that they will lose one or two of those guys in the next year or two, when it comes time to pay up.... Same as what happened with Giambi after 2000 and Tejada after 2003. They can't afford to compete in the FA market, so when their big stars are up for grabs, they can't afford them. It's sad for Oakland fans.
Jordan4life_2003
Garland is way too non consistent to sign longterm Garland and Wright should be signed long term. I don't care what anaybody says. These 2 will turn out to be 2 of the better pitchers in baseball once they completely figure it out. Garland as a starter and Wright as a reliever.... greg775
If he signs with NY good for him. He can go there and face the scrutiny and the boos ( I realize our fans boo, too) and be miserable like Weaver and all those other guys who have choked under the pressure of the Apple. That said, I hope we get to keep him. He's been a good acquisition, unlike Ritchie.

I agree..people have been touting Wright to be a future closer..like Biddle, Gagne, etc.. although I'm a bit skeptical cause of his control...
