Actually, there's plenty of reason to think it could be a lot higher next year if he cuts down on the blown saves and snaps off a complete season.

He's a 60 inning reliever with excellent K numbers. Deal him now, he will not be missed in 2014.

I am all for a rebuilding process. I just don't want a half ass job at it.

Lets trade the following players

Konerko

Danks

Floyd

AJ

Crain

Thornton

Quentin

Ohman

Also try to find several suckers to take Dunn, Peavy and Rios.

I would be sad to see Buehrle leave but the 2 draft picks will be nice.

Pretty sure MB is only a type B

The lineup I somewhat expect to see:

1. De Aza LF

2. Alexei SS

3. Dunn DH (ugh)

4. Konerko 1B

5. Viciedo RF

6. Flowers C

7.Rios CF

8. Morel 3B

9. Beckham 2B

Pitching

Buehrle

Peavy

Sale

Humber

Axelrod/Stewart

Pen

Ohman

Stewart/Axelrod

Reed

Santiago

Frasor

Santos

Crain

But that team you list will include players we get for Danks and Floyd.

Are you saying those will be minor leaguers?

You lineup looks like the team. Seriously will it be the slowest team in the history of baseball?

Those guys better hit a ton of home runs.

Very very slow. Maybe slowest team in Sox history?

Like I said, we cannot speculate who we get.

No

No

No

Do you not agree that this team is a disaster unless these guys lift and pull career high home run totals?

Speed?

. De Aza LF - good speed.

2. Alexei SS - can at least score on a single when he's on second; can't steal bases

3. Dunn DH (ugh) - slow as an ox.

4. Konerko 1B - oh so slow.

5. Viciedo RF - slow but can score from second on a single I think.

6. Flowers C - slow.

7.Rios CF - fast.

8. Morel 3B - slow.

9. Beckham 2B - can score on a single from second; can't steal.

Quentin if he's here - slow. Can score on a single from second.

I guess I could be mistaken about flowers and morel.

Morel and Viciedo aren't slow. Neither are Mike Trout but they're far from base cloggers.

I can tell you stopped watching the Sox months ago.

I admit my take on this one may be off base.

Morel and Flowers aren't speed demons though, are they?

I guess Beckham has potential to steal some bases. Lexi is not a base stealer IMO.

I hope we arent predicated on stealing bases to score runs. Flowers is actually pretty quick as is Morel. Konerko and Dunn are really the only base cloggers I listed.

At this point, a "Base stealer" is the last thing I want. I want good ballplayers. If they happen to steal bases, they better do so successfully.

Williams said in the Haugh column today that 2012 does not matter. The 2012 lineup should be the least of our concerns.

Good, 2012 shouldn't matter. If Dunn and Rios don't turn it around, it's very unlikely any possible moves he could make to improve the team would push the Sox over the top.

And if they do turn it around, team might well win the whole thing anyway.

I hope we stop it with the small ball bulls*** immediately. De Aza has the green light, everyone else should be focused on taking the extra base on contact.

De Aza only has the green light as long as he uses it wisely. I can't even imagine the ozzie defenders enjoyed seeing the 2 out, 2 strike caught stealing that everyone knew was coming.

The 2012 roster is set.

Let Juan go.

Trade three (maybe all four) of Quentin, Thorton, Danks and Floyd

Resign Mark

If Peavy, Rios, Beckham and Dunn have bounce back years they can contend if they do not it will be 2011 all over again.

If De Aza, Lillibridge, Viciedo, Flowers and Morel mature as a natural progression along with the young pitching they will be fine.

It may not look great to baseball prospectus but with some health, luck and a manager that cares, it may work out well.
