The arguments supporting may be weak, and I would feel more comfortable with other hires, but it is foolish to assume he is a failure just because he is inexperienced. Just like it would be with other candidates. I'm willing to wait and see and avoid the hyperbole. There is a lot more to be determined about this teams fate before I jump ship. It's Ozzie's way of letting him know bout Judas. If this is true, Cowley deserves a sports Pulitzer for the scoop. And to think I today was thinking Coop deserved the job over Ventura. He may very well be a great manager down the line, but at this time, he's a bad choice. There were candidates more qualified and better groomed out there. Ventura could have been given a minor league managing position or a bench coach opportunity with the hope of him maybe eventually becoming the manager.
