Cali
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 2, 2012 -> 08:43 AM) From all I've been reading Jimenez seems like a scumbag. He should really be on the Tigers then...

sunofgold
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 2, 2012 -> 06:09 PM) If he takes his medicine right away, he could pitch the last game in Cleveland vs Danks. This could help the White Sox, doesn't it? Wasn't it going to be Masterson vs Danks? And Indians have to change their rotation. Won't we really see their #5 starter and then their backup starter for first two games. They still could go to Masterson in the final game of that set or they might start Jimenez (if he serves his suspension at beginning of season). Instead of facing their 4th, 5th, and 1st starter, we face their 5th, 6th (emergency starter), and either 1st or 2nd
sunofgold
Oh, crap. Indians have a day off in their first series. Actually, they could go 5th starter, 1st starter Masterson (would have normal rest), and then Jimenez. Only can hope that their first game (home opener) is a rainout. witesoxfan
I don't care, throw Jimenez out there. Masterson's good. Jimenez is a glorified #3 starter. He can bring it, but the Sox, for the most part, can catch up to heat.

sunofgold
Tigers (Verlander) and Indians (Masterson) have their home openers today. Have to be cheering against both the Tigers and Indians today. ILMOU
QUOTE (sunofgold @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 10:36 AM) Tigers (Verlander) and Indians (Masterson) have their home openers today. Have to be cheering against both the Tigers and Indians today. If they both lose, we will remain in first place! Papa Fata** blows his first save for the Tigs after being perfect last year. Gotta love it! A less-than-charmed season for Valverde is the beginning of what we need to compete this year.

caulfield12
Goodbye, Aceves as closer. 10-7 Red Sox lead quickly evaporates with a Miguel Cabrera 3 run homer. Metro Boston, Ben Affleck and Peter Gammons in more panic than War of the Worlds live broadcast back in the day. Perhaps they should just take NESN off the air for the remainder of the game.
