southsider2k5
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:06 AM) We as White Sox fans don't want to see Carlos Quentin in a Tigers uniform. Say what you want about him being hurt and all, but the guy can smash when he's healthy and dialed in. I believe this is what is known as "once in a blue moon". Kyyle23
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) What happened to Jacob Turner this year? He was their next big rotation thing, then they started him out at high A ball, then moved him back to AAA after 4 starts? If nothing else, he's a legit trade piece, better than what they gave up for Q. You would think that the Tigers would want to hold on to their pitching

Ilitch wants to win badly.

Yeah but it's too big of a risk that the "once in a blue moon" would be when the White Sox are battling the Tigers for the AL Central crown. I don't want that. caulfield12
Boesch and Young are horrible on the corners. It wouldn't make much of a difference with Quentin there, might actually be an improvement, all things considered. They've actually even toyed with the idea of playing Berry in LF or RF with Austin Jackson back now.
southsider2k5
I'd be much more scared of the Tigers making a big move on Ryan Dempster than Carlos Quentin.

Ryan Dempster is meat in the AL. It'll just be like when the Tigers traded for Jarrod Washburn a few years back. He was great in Seattle, sucked with Detroit. Kate Upton on alert. 2K should make a new MLB 2K12 commercial if Verlander does throw a perfect game. It'll show Kate Upton letting him into the perfect club and giving him a lap dance. xD
Cali
Just watching a little bit of this Indians/Reds game... How are the Indians still competitive in the division? They really don't have a great team. Talk about smoke and mirrors... Yet, they're hanging around. So better team than we give them credit for? or Just a s***ty division? How are the Indians still competitive in the division? They really don't have a great team. Talk about smoke and mirrors... Yet, they're hanging around. So better team than we give them credit for? or Just a s***ty division? They don't have good starting pitching. They don't hit for power. They do however, get on base and they have a pretty good back end of the bullpen.

Cali
Cleveland only 2 games over .500 now with a -31 run differential. That's good for 2nd worst IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE. Go away now, ya bother me...
caulfield12
Austin Jackson 2 out single after a Verlander bunt put the Tiggers ahead 3-2. LOL at the 7th inning guest Jeff "I'm Not Jon" Garland "Yeah, you Tigers fans suck!!!" 124,782 fans the largest series (3 game) total crowd in the history of Wrigley Field. Must be 33% Tiggers fans. (That translates to 17% of our entire season attendance in just one series). Verlander's gone almost 6 innings in a row without giving up a thing. flavum
Ok, well the Cubs got one game. Good enough. Rockies are on the verge of going 0-9 in interleague play. Facing the Tigers this weekend. They're due, right?
caulfield12
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 04:55 AM) Ok, well the Cubs got one game. Good enough. Rockies are on the verge of going 0-9 in interleague play. Facing the Tigers this weekend. They're due, right? That, and no Verlander. Smyly and Fister are ailing, so you'd think they would be able to do something against Scherzer, Porcello and the lefty rookie that's been inserted into the rotation recently. caulfield12
Rockies had a great chance to blow the Tigers out of the water...already scored 2 runs and bases loaded, no outs, and Crosby got out of it with a force at the plate and double play when Giambi forgot there was only one out and dogged it down to first and looked back over his head at the plate. Now it's 2-2 and the Tiggers have all the momentum. Three doubles in a row by DET. Francis just doesn't have an out pitch to go to, had a 21+ ERA when he started this game although he's been good against AL Central most of his career. 3-2 Tigers now.
