flavum
6-4 Twins after 5. Too much time left in this game. Weaver came back out for the 8th after a stressful 7th. Indians got the first two on base. 3-0 Angels, 8th. Go bullpen.

flavum
That should be an Indians loss. Nice job, Downs. Twins up 6-4, top 7.
flavum
Do we really trust the Twins bullpen to get 9 outs before giving up at least 2 runs?
LittleHurt05
It turns out the rest of the AL Central is just as bad at home as the Sox are.

Benchwarmerjim
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) I didn't realize Glen Perkins could get it up to 97. he didnt throw that hard when he was a starter. but when he moved to the bullpen last he, he started to throw his fastball a little harder. Detroit might have a fast gun, but regularly throws it 95.

Cali
Gotta stop with this whole four team race stuff. It's barely a three team race since nobody is really buying what the Indians are selling...
High Mileage
Lots of disappointed Royals' fans after the Home Run Derby picks were announced... Cano’s picks went against what he had previously said on June 5. The Yankees slugger was asked by ESPN about the pressure on him to choose a Kansas City guy. He responded: “That’s got to be the right thing. You’ve got to pick one of the Royals players. Because I mean that’s there hometown and that’s where the All-Star Game is going to be so the fans want to see their players there.”
ILMOU
Well, I don't think the Tribe or Royals are legit at all, but how legit do you need to be in this contest? Edited July 3, 2012 by Stan Bahnsen
caulfield12
The Indians need to add another bat, especially with Chisenhall out now. Good that we got Youk when we did or we would have had to up the ante in a bidding war between the two teams. They've still got Hannahan though. Will come down to healthy/"good" Hafner, another OF bat (maybe Quentin, Soriano or a healthy Sizemore, yeah, that's unlikely)....Santana needs to pull his head out of his a-- and live up to his immense potential. That Indians' rotation is still short. Same problem with the Royals (for about 15-20 years). Edited July 3, 2012 by caulfield12
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Lots of disappointed Royals' fans after the Home Run Derby picks were announced... Billy Butler may have broken the record for most doubles in a Home Run Derby. Jokes aside, I think they should have included him, give the KC fans something extra to cheer for. It's not some light-hitting infielder, he has 16 HR this year.

Harry Chappas
The SCORE had PECOTA ratings talk yesterday. Sox were at 75 % for the playoffs while the Tigers and Indians were at 30%. If the White Sox can handle the Royals and Twins in the second half the playoffs are very possible.
