flavum
So Yu Darvish is human. That Texas heat may be something he's never dealt with. And now Josh Hamilton may be having more "issues". Angels are going to win that division. Edited August 2, 2012 by flavum

Unfortunately, Sir Albert is 7 for his last 15 with 4 HR & 2 2B as the Angels come to Chicago.
balfanman
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 05:24 AM) Hell of a finish in that game last night. Unfortunately, Sir Albert is 7 for his last 15 with 4 HR & 2 2B as the Angels come to Chicago. Here's hoping that the Angels are now walking (well, flying actually) into a trap series at the cell. Do well in an emotional series against your main rival (sorry Oakland) and show up flat for the next series.

Last night was a pretty brutal loss for LAA, so we will have to see how they react tonight, still one more game in Arlington.
southsider2k5
QUOTE (sircaffey @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) The Red Sox would let Crawford go in a heartbeat. Without a second thought. That contract was awful the second it was signed.

southsider2k5
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) I can't wait to see what happens when Theo has some money to spend again. I really wonder if he throws the big bucks at Hamilton this off season to try to keep some street cred with season ticketholders. Judging by the glut of tickets at Wrigley, their base is about to take a hit.
caulfield12
Carter would only have been an option had we let Konerko go (same with B-Allen)...and not signed Dunn. He just wasn't close to ready back then, it has been a LONG LONG climb through the minors, level by level, and repeating levels for him. Hopefully Keon Barnum can move faster. As Konerko can't play forever.
flavum
Looks like the Angels will have to use their bullpen tonight. Hopefully after a series with Texas, they'll come in a little flat and/or want to enjoy a weekend in Chicago.

flavum
Dempster is out 4.2 innings, 103 pitches 8 runs, and responsible for 2 more.
Noonskadoodle
Yikes Dempster should have went to the Braves. Grienke vs Humber is a complete mismatch but anythings possible in the game of baseball
Noonskadoodle
Weird seeing Roy Oswalt trot out of the bullpen in the 6th. Wonder when the last time he came out of the pen was? Edited August 3, 2012 by Noonskadoodle
RME JICO
QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) Weird seeing Roy Oswalt trot out of the bullpen in the 6th. Wonder when the last time he came out of the pen was? He was much more effective than Dempster, lol. "Oswalt has made 13 relief appearances in his career, but only five since his rookie season of 2001." Hate to see LAA scoring so many runs, 39 and counting in last 4 games. Hopefully they get them all out of their system before tomorrow. Edited August 3, 2012 by RME JICO

Gonna be a nice test for this team.

chw42
Mark Trumbo just gunned David Murphy at home with a perfect throw. Murphy was literally 15 feet away from home when Trumbo made the throw.

Quin
So, what's everyone think of the Nats shutting Stras down at 160? What if they do it during the playoffs? I'd be livid if we shut Sale down for the playoffs.

What if they do it during the playoffs? I'd be livid if we shut Sale down for the playoffs. If he continues to pitch every 5th day, he will surpass the 160 inning in the first week of Sept, so definitely won't be there for playoffs.
