#Breaking: Kendrys Morales is considering retirement as he meets with Dr. In Colorado. If he gets bad news from the ankle specialist (cont)

... he may retire. He doesn't want to do another surgery. This all according to a source familiar with his thinking.

Just unbelievable to see one freak play in a joyful moment potentially end a guy's career like that.

Pitbull can have a real good time with Dr. Pepper, but Mark Buehrle can't have a real good time with his pitbull -- at least in Miami-Dade County.

As passed along by Tom Fornelli, there's a law on the books in Miami-Dade County that prohibits ownership of pitbulls, and Buehrle's Americna Staffordshire Terrier is a kind of pitbull. Thus, Buehrle can't live in the city of Miami or the surrounding metro area the county encompasses.

Pitbulls aren't the safest of dogs, I guess, but as Fornelli points out Miami-Dade County residents can own all sorts of exotic and super-dangerous creatures. Maybe there's a law requiring ducks to wear long pants, too.

It disgusts me to see Buehrle and Zambrano in the same rotation.

It doesn't disgust me. Zambrano ain't a cubby anymore. We can root for him now. Always thought that he was a decent pitcher just way too emotional on the field. B&Z beating the cuBS would be sweet.

It's really depressing.

f*** that. I hate the Marlins except for Mark and Zambrano is a piece of s***. There's emotional then there is "asshole."

Ridiculous that cities have laws like this...especially some of the more progressive cities like Denver.

Lots of underground dogfighting rings ruined it for everyone else.

There really isn't a political rhyme to what places ban. You have liberal states like IL and NY, and you have places like TX.

I'll wait for a Pt answer...is that the sort of problem that might be related to being overweight/out of shape?

Sorry, been out of town skiing. While there isn't a direct correlation, people with extra weight do tend to have more spinal arthritis and bone issues.

More like people who bred and trained their dogs to be out of control...

Bred, that maybe true...but at least IMO, a lot of the people with Pit Bulls who cause trouble haven't trained them to be out of control, they just have failed to train/keep them under control.

Ok, well I don't want to turn this into the dog thread, but this could be said about almost any breed not in the toy group of breeds...
