Milkman delivers
Is Selig senile? He is 77. So I guess it would make sense that he'd need a cue card.

He may be a dickwad but I couldn't give two s***s about that, he may overmanage sometimes but he is a proven winner, he has lead a 2006 and a 2011 Cardinals teams that were inferior on paper to the teams they beat. greg775
Are people finally going to admit the NL inferior league stuff is crap? Two years in a row now. The NL isn't weaker than the AL. If it is, then why does the NL keep winning the f***ing WS?
Milkman delivers
They basically split it down the middle in recent years. "Keep winning" my ass.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 29, 2011 -> 08:03 AM) Is that legit? I was honestly curious but thought he was the new Cubs GM. When you asked the question, I thought so too. But Hoyer didn't become Padres GM til October 2009. Kevin Towers was there from 1995-2009, so he made the Freese/Edmonds trade, but is now in Arizona. Look at interleague play, which is a much larger 252-game sample size which comprises of all the teams. The NL hasn't won interleague play since 2003. Look at interleague play, which is a much larger 252-game sample size which comprises of all the teams. The NL hasn't won interleague play since 2003. I'm sure it's out there, but what is the NL record in interleague play in NL parks? The advantage may just come down to the AL teams having a DH in AL parks. I like the AL style of baseball better, but I don't think one league is better than the other. It's just different.
flavum
In the 42 years of divisional play, the AL is 23-19 in the World Series. AL-- 1969-1993: 14-11 1995-2011: 9-8 Yankees and Red Sox have combined for 9-6 in that, so 13-14 otherwise. It's close. By the way, only three franchises haven't made the World Series in that time--Mariners, Nationals, and the , uh, yep.... The 4 playoff teams from each league can beat any other team for the most part in a series. But once you get past those playoff teams, the AL has been deeper. It isnt about if he would leave STL for Chicago. It was in response to all the posters saying they didnt want the Sox to consider him at all during the month of Sept when it was looking like the possible end for La Russa in STL. I believe the Mariners and Nationals are the only teams to never even be in a World Series. The Nationals (Expos) would have probably had their chance if not for the strike, but Seattle has no one to blame but themselves.

chw42
The AL has less s***ty teams than the NL. That's pretty much why the AL is considered to be stronger. The good NL teams can definitely beat the good AL teams and vice versa. The Rangers were one strike away from winning it two nights ago.
