DirtySox
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) @Kevin_GoldsteinKevin Goldstein Remember Theo's press conference with the Cubs? Remember about the big investment in scouting and development? Bye-bye. That's a good point. Sucks for the Royals/Pirates/Jays who have been dumping money in the draft, but also hurts teams like the Red Sox, Rangers, and Cubs. The benefactors are largely the cheap-ass teams unwilling to spend on amateur talent.
DirtySox
JeffPassan Jeff Passan The big question is if this will prevent amateur talent from coming into baseball. We know you want your ego-stroke before you retire, but MLB should just wait until they go to 15/15 in 2013 to expand the postseason. DirtySox
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) I feel like it reins it in on both sides of the spectrum. It severely cripples teams like the Royals, Pirates, Jays, and Nationals. It's going to hurt them much more than teams like the Red Sox and Rangers. But otherwise yes, the teams in the middle will benefit from this. Edited November 22, 2011 by DirtySox

This has huge negative impact on small market teams Royals, Pirates, Tampa, Washington, Arizona, etc. The low budget teams are going to remain s***ty teams because of this.
