I can't believe Coop being a spy has angered so many people.

Ok.

One piece of proof, right now, thats not a direct quote from Cowley or Ozzie, go.

When you've united Balta, DA, SS2k5, Jordan, and Milk, you done f***ed up.

Marty, I told you not to make me set him loose... I feel like the cop who has to send the wifebeating boyfriend back into the house because the abused girlfriend won't press charges because she thinks he loves her under it all.

He is ruthless (cue ball in a sock type), if not illogical.

Which is why you have specific reporters assigned to specific beats sometimes. That's why you might have one guy who is a "Science reporter", where he is familiar with some literature and is able to ask the right questions/get the appropriate responses.

In this case, you might have specific reporters assigned to say "Cover the sports beat" in a particular city, where that reporter knows both the Manager and the other issues involved. Or if it was a big enough team, you might even have a reporter or two dedicated to covering a specific team for a paper. You might have a reporter for the Sun Times on the White Sox beat, for example. A person like that might well be expected to know the issues regarding the White Sox well enough to ask an informed question or two in reply.

Unless Joe Cowley is doing a story on the economy today.

That's not what your original post stated and not what my reply was to. I just assumed that a journalist couldn't know as much as a PhD, especially if it was in multiple fields. Now we know.

This example has gone off of track, unless you are trying to say you need to be a PHD to understand that Ozzie and the Guillens kids did more "spying" and "snitching" as compared to anyone else.

You do not need to know everything about a subject to be able to ask the right questions, and the person you're interviewing ought to recognize this and help you along (my particular field we're offering courses and special meeting sessions on doing this step correctly). However, if you are assigned a single, very insular subject like a particular baseball team...you darn well better be able to ask good questions.

Yeah isn't that something? Cooper is a snitch and a rat and a witch for trying to get a new contract when his was about to expire. Ozzie is a saint for wanting an extension when he was guaranteed at least 2012. You know that Reinsdorf in his love for one of his two favorite sons would have given that extension if Ozzie had put his nose to the grindstone and at least tried to get his team to rebound.

All he had to do was keep him mouth shut, and he would have been fine. But just like always, he couldn't handle even that. Face it, Ozzie is a walking Jerry Springer episode.

Listen to Coop's most recent interview on 'SCR.

Not regarding his contract, regarding him being a spy.

Notice the change just since yesterday?

Ozzie Guillen doesn't regret leaving the White Sox two nights before the final game of the 2011 MLB season. After taking a two-week vacation to Spain to watch some bullfighting, Guillen took to the airwaves and spoke with ESPN 1000 Tuesday afternoon.

"I see some media people and some radio people talking about me quitting on the team," said Guillen via a report by the Chicago Tribune. "Well, it's easy to say you're quitting on the team when you're down by seven, eight, 10, 13 runs every night. That's something you can't control."

Guillen went on to talk about about how he gave everything he had for the organization and has no qualms on the manner in which he left the White Sox.

"In the meanwhile, I know for a fact and I know in my heart, I gave the organization everything I have every day. I never stole one penny from them. Every day I was there for them. But I don't regret the way I left," said Guillen.

Reports surfaced before game 160 that Guillen was on his way out of Chicago and was rumored to be traded to the Marlins. Despite the controversy, he managed the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over Toronto.

Guillen admitted that Florida wanted him there immediately and that's why the deal came to fruition as quick as it did.

"I don't say the White Sox pushed me out, (they said) just think about it. They put me on the spot. They said the (Florida) people want you, they need you now and you have to show up and that's what I did."

I can only imagine this crazy clubhouse where spies are needed. Rios doing lines off a strippers boobs. AJ and MB playing beer pong. Sale and Beckham pulling 6 ft bongs. Ramirez and Viciedo sacrificing a goat next to their Santeria shrine. JFP riding around naked on a painted pony with a bottle of Wild Turkey in an Indian headdress. And Sergio carrying a little cooler screaming "tamale! tamale!." Oh, the insanity.
