NorthSideSox72
I'll drop a quick bomb... no way I trade Dunn. He has basically zero value at this point so all you get back is another bad contract. But Dunn's history says he is likely to bounce back. I keep the guy for 2012. If he sucks again, he said himself he probably retires anyway.
winninguglyin83
TRADE Danks -- for two quality prospects Quentin -- for more than Jeff Marquez-Lite. Thornton AJP FAIL TO RESIGN Juan Pierre we're stuck with Dunn and Rios. Floyd is cheaper than Danks. You can deal him at midseason. I just cringe if Kenny is the one choosing the prospects. Seen enough of Nunez, Marquez, Adkins and a few other gems he's come up with.
cabiness42
AJP - Keep Konerko - Keep Beckham - Keep Alexi - Keep Morel - Keep Pierre - Not a f**ing chance Rios - Trade (unlikely) Quentin - Keep Dunn - Keep Viquel - Adios Buehrle/Danks - Keep one of the two, dependent on MB salary demands Peavy - Trade (very unlikely) Floyd - Keep Thornton - Keep Ohman - Keep Frasor - Keep only if he will stay for less than he made this year, so most likely no
chetkincaid
I still say that KW is going to shock us all again - just like he did with Robin Ventura. I wouldn't be surprised if he lands a Michael Bourn or Justin Upton or a player like that this winter.
justBLAZE
Trade Alex Rios to Seattle Mariners for Choone Figgins and Franklin Guttierez. FIRE AWAY, Im ready.

Balta1701
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 01:26 PM) Michael Bourn or Justin Upton, eh? Very comparable players... Yeah, and since neither of them are free agents...and I can't think of really anyone in the league I'd count as comparable to Justin Upton who is a free agent...I don't know how that one happens. chetkincaid
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 12:57 PM) Yeah, and since neither of them are free agents...and I can't think of really anyone in the league I'd count as comparable to Justin Upton who is a free agent...I don't know how that one happens. What I'm saying is that I don't think that KW is done with this roster. It might not be Bourn or Upton, but I know KW likes those athletic types and he's probably not satisfied with the roster now. Yeah, but Justin Upton is only 24 and may already be a top 20 hitter in baseball. That's like saying KW is not happy with the bullpen, I expect him to get one of those Mariano Rivera types. justBLAZE
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 11:15 AM) How much cash would we be sending their way?? we add 2.5 million in salary for 2012 and 2013, but lose the 13.5 million in 2014 for rios and gutierrez has an option year for 2014 for 7.5 million and a 500,000 buyout. All 3 players in this deal are busts

FIRE AWAY, Im ready. The sad part is that this is the type of deal it would take to get rid of Alex. So for all of the dreamers who talk about trading Rios, bookmark this post.
