Christmas Present List

As a college grad (in 5 days), my list looks much different than it usually has. I'd like to add another suit to my collection, since I'm a broadcaster and more dress clothes in general. I like to thing I have a pretty incredible collection of ties for a 22 year old. A nice watch wouldn't be bad. Some re-ups on my favorite colognes.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything. The ESPN 30 for 30 collection on Blu Ray would be neat. Being home for Christmas (mine is on JAN 7) for the first time in a while and knowing I won't have to go back to school in general will be a new feeling.

Man.. I'm the same way. Nice dress clothes/shoes is probably all I'd want (though I wouldn't mind a new laptop. :)) Oh.. and a sox rebuild. :D

Gears of War Triple Pack for $8 from Best Buy

Bioshock 2 Special Edition (big-*$# box, by the way) for $10 from Best Buy

Halo Reach Limited Edition for $15 at Best Buy

Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY for $15 from newegg

Modern Warfare 2 for $20 from amazon

NBA2K11 for $20 from amazon

That's a lot of really old games.

I can usually come up with a few things that I want simply because I never manage to actually go out and buy them for myself for some reason.

This year I want the new Stephen King book that just came out, a new Sox hat, the Family Guy Star Wars Trilogy and a small hatchet to chop up firewood when we go camping.

On BF I picked up a 72-piece drillbit set for $20 at Lowe's just because it was too good a deal to pass up. My wife is wrapping it up and putting it under the tree for me.

And to keep the kids in line. Don't lie.

I wish that xmas were less about gifts and tradition and more about having a great time with family. I've tried three straight years to get everyone to ditch presents (save for the young ones, of course) and use that money on a sweet ass vacation to start making some real memories.

I would love that, but it's really hard to leave work for me over the holidays. My friends are all planning on doing a whiskey distillery tour in May, however.

I haven't read a King book in years, but that one peaked my interest.

I'm not sure if that's the list of a 25 year old or a 15 year old.

Totally OK with that. Christmas is where I can ask for all the silly things I want, but would never buy for myself.

Mother-in-law got me a giant popcorn machine. It's still in the trunk.

Moms came through with the cold hard cash and the VAST and Primus vinyl.

Will be purchasing a Kindle.

Pretty sweet that you still collect vinyl. I would love to get in to this at some point.

What kind of turntable would you recommend?

Most of the vinyl I have is collectable, so I don't play it.

What I'd hoped for:

Bulls tix

A sparkly new watch

SCALPED trade, volume 8

What I got:

another coach clutch from my dad & stepmom--desperate for a girly-girl to dress up, I suppose... ugh (It's still in the trunk)

1/2 pair BULLS/heat tickets (for March) from my best friend--she knows me well.

Scalped trade 8-- from myself. thx Amazon Prime!

f*** the watch... I'm goin' to BULLS/heat bay-beh!

I would recommend getting something solid. A Direct Drive table is best, especially if you have want to spend the money on one that you'd like to keep for a long time. Other record players run on belt drives and belts wear out over time.
