SOXOBAMA
Rowand is talking to the Sox. I guess he won't be a bad 4th OF for a rebuilding team. Edited December 6, 2011 by SOXOBAMA
hi8is
Lilinator on the move with aRow as a 4th outfielder with a chance to win a FT gig with Rios going to the pine? Spring training invite? Doesn't make sense to me if we're rebuilding - unless it's on a 1 year deal which they think Rowand can infuse some drive into the youngsters. 103 mph screwball
If Rowand needs a job and is willing to come back to the Sox cheap in a backup roll to try to rekindle his career, I think the Sox give him a shot. He's Sox Family.

Milkman delivers
This move most likely wouldn't hurt, but can't we simply sever all ties to 2005 soon?

That will never happen. See Bears, 1985.

fathom
Honestly, doesn't bother me at all if Rowand is back. This definitely signals to me that Quentin will be traded soon.

Eminor3rd
If at league minimum and CQ (or Rios) is gone, then whatever. Otherwise, Lillibomb should play that role.

Jordan4life_2007
There would be no 'risk' involved. I just don't want to watch him play baseball anymore. He's terrible.

GreatScott82
As long as it doesn't take away Viciedo's playing time, then im all for it. If it means less playing time for Rios, then I am all for it.

The Giants were willing to give up $15 million just to never watch him play anymore and they have one of the worst offenses in baseball. He's bad and steroid testing isn't gonna end anytime soon.
