MexSoxFan#1
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) lol. Were Michael's Bulls this relentless when it came to waxing the league bottom-feeders? Jesus. These boys don't play around. When a lottery-bound team is on the schedule, they pounce. Even Miami has lost to the Bucks twice. 72-10 my friend, 72-10...
chw42
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) He already has a cult following. Good year for Harvard. He's great for the NBA. He gets Asian Americans more excited about the sport. Plus, think about how much publicity he'd get in Asia. Lin's Taiwanese too, just look what happened with Chen Mien Wang, he's worshiped in Taiwan (according to my Taiwanese roommate).

Mainly because they are our neighbors and I know more people from there than anywhere else.
Soxbadger
China has a little bit more of a history with Taiwan, the whole not recognizing their independence thing. I dont know if it impacts Asian Americans.

SoxFan1
QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 05:50 PM) Meh If anything, I think that Love didn't actively try NOT to step on Scola, so the end result of a 2-game suspension is hard to complain about. I don't know where people wanted him to step instead since he was already starting to run up court, but that's pretty irrelevant I guess. You know, it's really not THAT hard to just NOT stop down and hop once more on your right foot. If you notice a pile of dog s*** on the sidewalk last second, your thought process isn't "WELL s***, NOW I HAVE TO STEP HERE" it's normally "HOW CAN I AVOID THIS s***!?!?!" Like I said, Love didn't actively try to avoid it, so he probably did deserve the suspension. Thank you for explaining that, regardless.

chw42
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) China has a little bit more of a history with Taiwan, the whole not recognizing their independence thing. I dont know if it impacts Asian Americans. Just because the governments don't agree doesn't mean that Chinese NBA fans won't like Jeremy Lin. Sure, he won't be anywhere near as big as Yao Ming, but right now, there are no big name Asian players in the NBA.
chw42
QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) http://twitpic.com/8gp27i Ladies and gentlemen, your 2011-12 Washington Wizards I remember an earlier video of McGee not knowing where to set a pick in practice. John Wall had to tell him to move. He's either dumb as rocks or just zones out randomly.

Steve9347
QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 7, 2012 -> 07:20 AM) Don't worry, he'll disappear into nothingness soon enough. He's not a very good player. Actually, I disagree. I watched most of that Knicks game because the Bulls were up by 30 points at halftime. Lin does have some nice moves at the net, and he has solid court vision. This would be like completely dismissing CJ Watson because you'd never heard of that D-Leaguer prior to dropping 40 for the Warriors. I suggest watching Lin play a couple of times before declaring he's not very good.

Brian
Agree with Steve on Lin. Back to back great games. Not like he is Chris Duhon Sho scores 20 in a game than 20 total thru the next 5. Lin also had 8 or 9 assists without Amare and Melo.
