Figures...Boozer plays strong and no one talks about it. Really enjoyable game to watch last night. Boozer and Korver both stepped it up and Butler looked solid in his 25 minutes of play. Butler really looks like he could be a good defender and a solid player. Given the position the Bulls are in, I hope we see him get more minutes for the next couple of weeks. It will really help his development and you never know when you need him to step up. Plus it only helps him for the long-term as I know Thibs really likes him.

Boozer did give up as many points as he scored, but I don't hate boozer like a lot of people do. Nice to see him, Korver, and butler step up though with the injuries.

I think Butler will be part of Bench Mob 2.0 with Mirotic.

I want the Bulls to get the next Mobs PG, SG/SF, and C in this draft.

Here's an interesting take on Dwight: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/201..._medium=twitter

It makes perfect sense. "I just want to win" but I don't want to win badly enough to join the team with the best record in the NBA with another young superstar and the league MVP?

Here's the original Berger article: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ken-berg...-him-to-chicago

God, it's so annoying. Even if they had to deal Deng and Noah, Dwight and Rose is an insane combo and you have enough depth to fill out a great starting five any way you slice it.

Again I'll note...Deng and Noah for Howard and Hedo really isn't the greatest deal for Dwight either...even if the pick and Mirotic are included, that deal puts a whole lot of long term money onto the Magic's roster. It keeps them basically stuck in Luxury tax territory for the near future. I don't know that I'd accept that deal if I were them.

I'd get worked up about it but this has been known for months. The way the Magic are playing right now, they'd be insane to give up Howard for anything less than a king's ransom.

Move along. Dwight to the Bulls can't happen. Bill Simmons said it best in his trade value column...

This is a weird comment that can't be backed up but I'm making it anyway: I don't think any NBA fan base loves a player more than Bulls fans love Derrick Rose. If you went into a Chicago sports bar and started trashing Rose during a Bulls game, you'd get beaten up and left for dead in an alley.

It can be confirmed by me. Chicago hearts our D-Rose. Felix calls us on it all the time. Dwight doesn't want to compete with that.

The Magic would be willing to trade Dwight Howard to Chicago in exchange for Omer Asik, Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer and a valuable first-round pick from Charlotte, according to a report.

Chicago will not move forward with the trade scenario without assurances that Howard will sign a long-term deal with the Bulls, which he’s given no indication he’ll do.

Wow.

Asik + Deng + Boozer + Charlotte pick and Dwight doesn't want to be here.

THAT deal I do. Noah + Deng is a little different, but that one, just, wow.

I love Deng as much as the next guy, but Noah-Dwight-Gibson is an insane defensive front court. You could start Korver and Brewer/Butler.

But the manchild doesn't want to be here, so f*** him.

And the Bulls clear Boozer's contract? Of course I'd do that if he'd extend. But first, I don't believe that the Magic would seriously take Boozer's deal, and second it's pretty clear DH doesn't want to extend here.

Still, if that report is true?

Dwight is being a baby.

Rose - Watson

Rip - Brewer

Korver - Butler

Noah - Gibson

Dwight - Scalabrine for all I care.

It just doesn't make sense why Dwight really doesn't want to extend here, other than he wants to team with his buddies. But I don't want to here "I want to win" from him.

Or "The shoe company paying me $200 million over the next 10 years doesn't want me playing on the same team as the guy they're paying $300 million over the next 10 years".

I thought Rose's deal was also $200 million?

Let's face it folks, Simmons hit the nail on the head a while ago - stars these days want to be stars more than champions/legends of the sport. They're more concerned about their brand than the number of titles they have. Sad, but true.

D12's first priority isn't about winning, that much is clear, if it's true that Adidas is against it, he could just tell them to f*** off...I don't think D12 will have trouble getting another lucrative shoe deal.

Nike has no problem with Wade and LBJ in the same market.

I read recently an article by Simmons where he says that Rose and Durant care about winning more than anything else, he really likes both those players.

Because I'm sure Nike wouldn't jump at the chance to snag Howard.

That "report" is just citing the article recently posted. The players are just a suggestion, and there's absolutely no report saying the Magic would do that deal as proposed above.

Guys, why are you getting worked up? This deal, and the reposting of Dwight to Chicago ideas are just being published to the web to generate clicks. There is nothing new here that we didn't know months ago. Dwight doesn't want to come to Chicago, the Bulls won't make a deal unless he extends. It's not rocket science and there's no reason to get worked up here.

Orlando will hold Dwight unless a team that's not on his list comes calling. They'll either get Dwight to stay for the extra $29 million - which is a good bet since it's, you know, $29 million - or they'll have lots of cap space, go into rebuild with a bunch of chuckers, and wait for the next chance.

Getting guys like the oft-injured Brook Lopez won't entice Orlando, that's just inviting yourself to be in NBA hell.

Stop with the Adidas thing already. They've come out and said they wouldn't mind them in the same market. Dwight even said it himself. Adidas is NOT stopping any deal that brings Dwight to Chicago.

Pretty well-respected poster at RealGM spraying to all fields re: Bulls.

The scout that told me about Orlando's offer to the Bulls last weekend just informed me that Chicago and Boston are discussing a huge trade where Pierce and Garnett will go to the Bulls. There have been variations of this trade with Golden State also entering the deal for a three team trade(likely Deng for Monta Ellis swap by Boston) but mostly there is interest from our team to get championship caliber players.

Boozer,Deng,Asik are the main pieces being dangled in the talks.

The Dwight Howard offer is still on the table but the Bulls are apparently searching for other avenues. The Pau Gasol interest is real.

Like I said, spraying to all fields. At least the Bulls don't seem content. I'd imagine these injuries might force their hands into something. To add more fuel to this fire, Jim Paxson (not a typo, he's a Bulls' consultant) was at the Lakers/Celtics game yesterday.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6rh7zrc

Rose, Watson

Hamilton, Brewer

Pierce, Brewer

Garnett, Gibson

Noah, Gibson

Scalabrine

Butler

Lucas

That's a really interesting 8 man rotation. Paul Pierce's 13/14 is not guaranteed. Obviously, that monster KG deal coming off the books is rather attractive.
