I am not saying you were wrong, Thunder is certainly up there with the Heat in terms of individual talent.

I am just pointing out if Bulls and Thunder meet in a Final, I like the Bulls chances, because what the Bulls have is suffocating defense, and timely offense. Defense wins championships, we know that, and Heat and the Bulls are 1 and 1a in that category. Thunder was mediocre in defense last year, and near the bottom so far this season. I don't want to start a KD vs Lebron debate, but the scoring title is alway Lebron's if he so choose to, he pointed that out last year. Durant is not the same player Lebron is on offense and defense. Lebron commands double team due to size advantage and explosive athleticism. He also creates so much more for his teammates, unlike Durant. I may be bold in saying this, but Lebron is the only player who can shut down Rose on offense and beat the Bulls elite defense, Durant can't. In a Finals matchup, Durant will have a very tough time scoring against this defense, and Rose will "will" the team to a championship.

The season is young but Harden is playing at a very high level, if he continues to score with that efficiency and be a playmaker off the bench, THEN I would say the Thunder has a legit chance in beating the Bulls.

LeBron James is the best player in the NBA and has been for about 5 years now. So LeBron > Durant. But you are SEVERELY underrating Kevin Durant. The Thunder are more talented and athletic than the Bulls. James Harden isn't really doing anything differently this year than he did last year. He's just playing more minutes.

The Thunder are definitely up there with the Bulls and Heat but I feel as if there is still something missing or wrong with that team and it just might be Russell Westbrook if that makes sense...

When does Westbrook become a free agent? Because I totally get what you're saying and I really struggle to see that team holding together/keeping him long term.

If he had Rondo's brain, that team would be even more deadly. He'll flash his superior athleticism, good vision, etc. but his overall decision making with the ball/basketball I.Q. is below average for a guy with his tools.

Raymond Felton had harsher words a couple days ago..

That's the type of guy he is, that's his mindset, that's how he plays…He's always in a one-on-one battle with all the point guards. I'm not really into that. I'm into winning. If you win, everybody gets the praises. We are not wearing 'Felton' on the front of our jerseys; it says Blazers. I care about the Blazers winning.

Yeah, Russell Westbrook has immense talent, but he wants to take over too often instead of facilitating.

If he was on a team that didn't have one "Kevin Durant", no one would care about him taking over.

This is really interesting, and I think it's right on about Westbrook. He wasn't a big time prospect out of high school, and didn't get a scholarship to play college ball anywhere except from UCLA, and he was a very limited backup in his Freshmen year. He basically was an underdog everywhere he went and wants to prove to people that he is better than they see him as. You can definitely see his competitiveness and aggressiveness when play against Derrick, because he wants to be Derrick.

That is also why I think the Bulls are a better team than the Thunder. Yes, J4L, the Thunder more talented and athletic than the Bulls, but the Bulls got great chemistry and is coached by one of the best coach and defensive geniuses in the league. They all know who their man is, and succeeds in late game and clutch situations, where the Thunder had imploded in late games in the past.

They probably should have traded Westbrook for Rondo + a role player. Rondo's nowhere near as athletic, but he at least knows how to distribute the ball and play great defense. Westbrook had a lot to do with the Mavericks beating OKC last year. There were a decent amount of games where he was flat out bad and decided he wanted to take over instead of feeding Durant.

The problem with Westbrook is that he's so damn erratic. I sure as hell wouldn't want him as a #1 option.

I was really amused by this blurb at the end of the Bulls-Magic recap:

"Magic swingman Quentin Richardson was inactive, recovering from a chemical burn on his ankle after a self-treatment mishap in which he iced his sore ankle with Icy Hot and then applied ice to it. Rookie G DeAndre Liggins also didn't dress after having an allergic reaction to shellfish."

Been watching some Heat games and there's just something that really makes me nervous about this year's LBJ, dude looks like he's on a mission, he added a post up game and looks terrifyingly great so far :(

Next NBA Finals he gets to (most probably this year) he's gonna tear it up so he could shut up the naysayers after last year's Finals. The Heat are his team, forget about Wade.

If that team stays healthy they shouldn't have too much trouble winning it all. I don't see the Bulls offense doing much in a 7 game series against Miami. Too many stretches of godawful shooting. That and once LBJ covers Rose it's pretty much over.

And yes, I am that guy that wishes injury upon other players. Especially on teams I despise like Miami.

lol, I don't wish injury on anyone ever but I'd make an exception with LBJ, hopefully he rolls his ankle in the 1st game of the ECF...seriously though, Miami could win it all even if one of the big 3 go down to injury, as long as it's not LBJ.If it's Wade and Bosh without LeBron, they'll put up a fight but Chicago wins.LBJ isn't messing around this year.

Did the whole f***ing Hawks team snort lines of coke before the game?

I expected them to be dead tired after playing two OT games. WTF?

This has to be the most unpredictable team in the league.

The Hawks are the streakiest team in the NBA. I still think the Bulls win this one. They were only down 2 at the 3 min mark and then the Hawks got hot again. They're going to get tired soon enough.

Rose is -28 in the first half, can you get any worse than that?

But Jo has had one good game all year.

And he's looked bad on D and tired, so he can't generate points. He's a hot mess this year.
