Balta1701
QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 25, 2012 -> 09:43 PM) Not to burst any bubbles (because the Bulls have certainly played VERY well this season), but they're 27th in the NBA in strength of schedule and their last 10 games have been (by far) the easiest in the NBA. They've picked a good part of their schedule to be without some of their players, considering the level of competition they've faced recently. The one thing strenght of schedule isn't counting though is the insanely high number of games they've arleady had.

True, but I'd rather play 19 games against really easy teams than 16 games against a lot better teams.

chw42
I wish Korver took that shot instead of Scal. Although, if Scal did make it, that would have been hilarious.
daa84
I know the bulls are banged up but you can't have scal taking the final shot. Thibs took too many TOs early on And couldn't go offense for defense at the end. Most frustrating loss of the year IMO

Steve9347
Ugh. That sucks. Scal is more fun as a human victory cigar vs taking a possible game-winning 3 pointer. That's one of the first times Thibs has f***ed up with his use of timeouts. He let his emotions take over in the 4th, there. Live and learn, 16-4 ain't half bad. Word is Deng might give it a go against the Heat on Sunday afternoon.

I don't believe his injury is any worse than Kobe's (and that's on his shooting hand). It's all about pain tolerance. In 2004-05, he had surgery bc the Bulls were going nowhere. But yeah, ptatc would be of great help here.

Felix
The Wolves had one healthy point guard tonight and two healthy guards (unless you count Wes Johnson as a guard, which is hilarious), yet walked into Dallas and beat them by 15. Rubio played 46 minutes (17 pts, 12 ast, 7 reb, 4 stl, 7 to), Love put up 31 on 16 shots, etc. Edited January 26, 2012 by Felix

ptatc
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 25, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) I don't believe his injury is any worse than Kobe's (and that's on his shooting hand). It's all about pain tolerance. In 2004-05, he had surgery bc the Bulls were going nowhere. But yeah, ptatc would be of great help here. The Bulls aren't saying exactly what the injury is so it's hard to predict exactly what is going on in Deng's wrist. There are only two structures in the wrist that are absolutely crucial to stability in the wrist. One is the scapho-lunate ligament. If this is the one he tore it will be really diffcult to flexion or extension in his wrist without pain. It will be a real struggle for him and surgery is usally indicated sooner rather than later. The other structure is the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC). It is a stucture similar to the menicus in the knee. It spreads out the forces in the wrist and holds the radius and ulna together at the proximal part of the wrist. Again, surgery is usually indicated sooner rather than later to maintain stability for the wrist. Any other ligament really isn't crucial to the wrist stabilty. They are usually treated like a sprained ankle, rest and bracing until you can do the activity unless it feels to unstable to him. My guess is that he will try to play within the week and test it in game conditions and go from there but if it gets wrorse an extended period of time could be needed to let the pain and swelling go down. That part is scary if you need surgery, but if the injury cant get worse then have it after the season and screw the olympics. Ligament injuries are all about stability of the two bones. Since it's non-dominant wrist he really only needs to worry about ball handling. After playing in a game he will know how the wrist feels. If it's not one of the ligaments that is crucial to wrist stability he'll may be able to manage it like a sprained ankle.

Sorry, had to point out the inefficiency there Felix. Kevin Love however, was the man as usual. Filled up the stat sheet, with efficiency (also had 10 FTA). T-Wolves are very lucky to have that stud locked up.
