iamshack
So I was looking into the movie Dark Shadows this past week because I think it looks hilarious...and I realized it is loosely based on a gothic and campy soap opera that aired on ABC in the 60's...anyone ever seen that? Jenksismyhero
I never saw it, but the actor that played the Johnny Depp character just died last week. That's when I learned it was a TV show. Also, Tim Burton sucks, as will this movie.

There was also a short lived newer version. I think it was in the early 90's? I remember watching it, but I don't remember it being too good. Slow, like a soap opera. Completely agree. I think his movies take themselves too seriously at times. They're so strange that they should always be comedies. I think this can work. TaylorStSox
Without spoiling anything, I will say that the second half of this season and the next 2 are going to really pick up. Outside of Jon and Arya none of my favorite characters have really been introduced yet.

Milkman delivers
Johnny Depp has played basically the same character for a decade or more now. I'm getting tired of all of the praise he gets.
farmteam
The Killing is just getting strange. Suddenly, this new kid who was friends with Rosie is claiming Stan wasn't her father? Wtf. Also, the Stan/Terri thing was hinted at pretty heavily, but it's still weird...unless that somehow ties into why he isn't Rosie's father? And Terri is just screwed up in the head, I don't know how/if she keeps it together, since she's going back to the escort thing.

BigSqwert
Anyone else watch the Ricky Gervais Show? I watched the last one and was crying laughing. The whole bit about the movie with Tom Cruise was hilarious.
