Revolution "SPOILER" from tonight....

Well, that was terribly obvious that the Jason guy was Gus' son. As soon as they showed that Gus had a young boy, and the very next scene cut to Jason, it was quite obvious.

wait you mean Revolution is heavy handed and badly written?

Also, my wife and I couldn't remember - was there an explanation for why the zombies don't just "die" from lack of food? Do they need any (wasn't that the point of them moving out of the city into the country)? Could they conceivably just continue on for the next 100 years? Or can the humans realistically try and wait them out?

If you allow for the fact that they don't need nutrition, no zombie universe has properly addressed decay. A zombie invasion is more or less impossible because once a human body is dead it's going to decay fairly quickly and the zombies wouldn't be able to walk within a week. You'd see a lot more of the zombies crawling around like the one Rick shot at with its lower torso missing. Of course, that's not very scary because it's not really much of a threat.

Never thought I'd see the day that Vinny Pestano's name was used as part of a joke during a sitcom.

I laughed when Ted said it and then when there was no laugh track, I thought I was wrong.

Caught up on Boardwalk last night. Little slower than I like, but some great scenes. Nucky needs to stop obsessing over this Billy chick, but I guess the story is going to naturally flow to him killing her at some point. Or one of his enemies will (like Rosetti). Speaking of Rosetti, "Harry, you're alive! And you're a horrible shot!" Lots of point blank misses there. The Gillian stuff is getting tiresome, as is Margaret's. Both need to spice it up somehow. And lastly, Van Alden. I'm glad he's now hooked up with Capone's gangster enemy. Now let's see him be an enforcer.

Van Alden turning to O'Banion is definitely the high point of that episode. And I don't think you can really blame Rosetti for missing Bugsy that much, considering the circumstances. In fact, I think he's the one who hit his own guy (the one that was still alive at the end).

I'm under the assumption that whatever "virus" that the zombies have in movies, tv, and books/comics prevents the body from decomposing so fast or at all. Call it an unwritten rule for my brain, but it's a suspension of disbelief I take when trying to think why the bodies just don't waste away after a certain period of time. The virus preserves the body in the condition it's in, but can't help natural bacteria from eating away at it...

In terms of advancing the storyline, yes. But just for raw "best scene" value, nothing topped Rosetti storming naked through the house covered in blood with a belt around his neck. That was just absurd.

I'm getting tired of the Billie Kent storyline, too. I agree that Nucky might end up killing her, or someone else might. Either way, she's dead at some point this season.

I thought the first episode of American Horror Story was pretty solid last night. Even though it's a completely different story from last season, they manage to keep the creepy factor pretty high. There are some genuinely scary parts, but over it's just creepy.

If episode 1 is any indication, this season will be much better than last year's.

I liked last season, but I like the direction this one seems to be going better. There's a ton of potential with a haunted insane asylum vs. the haunted house. Plus, the multiple storylines (including the time split) should offer more.

They could have handled that better, though I still liked Gus' flashback. That's the best part of the show right now. The last episode was fine, but I think eventually i'll end up dropping this show. The leads were totally miscast and it's difficult to root for them.

Last night was one of my favorite Always Sunny episodes ever.

I'm sticking with it, but i don't know why. The first two episodes have been them re-hashing old ideas (but it's funny because they reference it so much!!), which means they're clearly out of ideas.

The League, however, pulled no punches and was hilarious.

"Yes, I can believe she just had a baby. Because I put it there. With my penis."

Masturbating giant Andre penis was hilarious. Also, Taco picking everything up off the waiver wire.

I have actually been annoyed the past few seasons with them rehashing old jokes, but this one was done brilliantly as it fit the original personalities of the characters, at least better than they have done in a longggg time.
