So what happens if your box breaks and you get a new one? You lose all of your games?

I would imagine they are tied to your Online account as well. So if your system dies, you boot up your new system and log in to your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag and then re-download all your s***. Much like in the way a Steam account works.

But it would probably take forever to re-download a whole library, and this idea is just awful. No more sharing games with friends, or even playing a game at a friends house.

Yeah, I read something somewhere that the PSN or XBL accounts would allow for backups. I don't think it's such a big deal. I don't have to go to a retail store and I don't have a stupid box taking up space. It would be nice if skipping the retailers drops a few bucks off the price, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Yeah, if this results in game only costing like $30-40 because they no longer have to make discs, make boxes, ship them across the world, and go through any sort of retailer, then that would be awesome. But I have a feeling they are using this to increase their own revenue, not decrease our prices.

I am FIRMLY against this.

The thing is they can both increase their own revenue and decrease our prices if retailers affect the price that much. I wouldn't expect $30-40 games, but more likely back to $50 where it was a decade ago and more smaller games (which both PSN and XBL have already) that are significantly cheaper than that.

The console makers are hesitating to come out with new models because coming out with another $300+ machine is asking a lot of the consumer (my other hope is that not having a disc drive lowers the cost of the hardware a bit too) in a down market. The negative PR of killing the used games market could be offset by coming out with cheaper games. Again, I don't think so, but it's my hope.

Gamefly is f***ed if that happens.

I'm sure Gamefly is already taking a hit with these "unique online codes" that games are coming with now. I hate that s***. I routinely use 3 different PS3s, and now I can only go online with 1 of them (not much of an online gamer anyway, I guess)

This is already how it works for XBL purchases. I had to replace my HDD but was able to re-download any games I had previously purchased.

Computer games have had similar controls forever.

lol, this will never result in games getting cheaper, only profits rising. Oh, and probably more DLC so that a "full" game costs $100 or so. I'm glad I take a while to get through games and usually pick them up new for $30-40 anyway.

Jackoff time - the OS Sports Full Minors Opening Day rosters are now live.

http://www.operationsports.com/forums/mlb-...pening-day.html

I get these every year. The detail, down to every face of minor leaguers. Everyone. Done. I remember their Morel two years ago was as spot on as they get. I cannot wait to unleash Hector Santiago tonight (and trade Alex Rios), as I start my legit season.

Glad I got my P90X out of the way this morning!

They actually released what is probably 98% of the same exact roster 2 weeks ago. The only difference was the 25 man rosters for teams who had a position battle going on. But yeah, these rosters are amazing. My first move will be to trade Rios to AZ for Gerardo Parra. And then probably trade Floyd for Trevor Bauer if I can convince them somehow.

So in my RTTS, I am halfway through the year 2017. I simulate any game I am not starting, and then every once and a while I'll simulate a week. I just want to finally get to a point where my player can become a Free Agent. I want to be able to have multiple offers, and make a choice. I hate being randomly thrown to teams that are awful, and then not being able to leave them.

So in 2017 season, my AVG in the majors was like .086 after 15 games or so. lol. I think I have been called up and sent down from the majors 3 or 4 times. I always make it, but can never stay there. So now in AAA, I am just tearing s*** up. I have a 31-game hitting streak, am batting something like .409 and have around 40 RBI in 35 games or so. I am racking up the pts, and my player is finally getting good ratings.

70 CON vs. LHP

71 CON vs. RHP

71 PWR vs. LHP

75 PWR vs. RHP

89 SPD

I love having that speed. I steal every base I attempt, I beat out a lot of ground balls, and I extend a lot of singles in to doubles. It's great. Haven't tried bunting for a hit yet, but once I get my bunting skills up, I will give it a go.

You have no idea how much of a pain in the ass it is to make these rosters.

I did the batting stances/pitching motions for every single player on the opening day roster last year. Then Knight (the guy who is in charge of this) got pissed off that the lineups in my roster file were messed up and well, I had to re-make lineups and rotations for every single team at every single level.

Needless to say, I stayed away from it for the most part this year and saved my time. I put in at least 30-40 hours into my part of the project last year. *Sigh...

While I'm at it...

SCEA needs to hire people who know what they're actually doing with pitch types, player attributes, player motions, player equipment etc. There's always holes in all of these things in every single version of the game, many of them (for those who really pay attention) in fact. I shouldn't have to spend $60, only to spend 30 hours correcting these things before I really get to enjoy the game in its most authentic form.

All Sony San Diego has to do is hire some people from the OS forums who want a summer job or something and get things straight.

I can't hit for s*** in the new Show. I was always pretty good in the 2010 version, but apparently they've tweaked something. I can have 10-14 pitch at bats, fouling everything off, but it's rare to get more than a few hits in a game.

The Show on Vita is ridiculous. I can't even hit on rookie, that's how f***ing hard the game is. I have to cheat with the sliders in order to hit well, which is absolutely ridiculous. Unless I guess the right pitch and time it perfectly, I'm not getting a hit. It's kind of ridiculous, I've never had so much trouble hitting in the game before, even when they had analog hitting last year.

I do agree with this. I also don't see why Brent Lillibridge can't have a real face yet.

So I am playing The Show right now. I notice the information banner dropped down and said "Happy Cinco De Mayo from MLB: The Show!". I thought it was pretty cool that it knew it was Cinco De Mayo today.....then I realized I just happen to be playing against the Tigers, in Detroit, and it is actually 5/5 in my game. Haha. I've never been one to try and mirror my season w/ real life, but I just happen to play on the same day.

The difference is that Sale is STARTING this game in my franchise. Carrying his mid 1 ERA. He is sooo good in this game.

From what little I could find.. you don't get to play any of the main characters sadly. In this 30 plus hour action RPG, players will enter Westeros, the gritty and medieval fantasy world made internationally popular by the acclaimed book and TV series. As one of two original characters with disparate motivations, both former soldiers of Robert's Rebellion, players will forge alliances and wage battles as they play a pivotal role in the ongoing war for power between the Houses of Westeros. Their journey will span numerous quests, during which they will interact with many characters and make key decisions that impact the realm.
