The Lions really are a classless team and it all starts with Schwartz. The guy cant control his players and these cheap shots are hurting them in games finally. Even with the terrible officiating they still managed to shoot themselves in the foot with the lack of control.

i dont think Schwartz fails to control it, i think he encourages it. Wasnt he the DC back when Haynesworth stomped on Andre Gurodes face?

anyhow, great win for the Bears. They have really hit another gear since they lost to Detroit, and all of their deficiencies have been addressed since that game. Im not saying they are perfect, but they are a completely different team than the team we saw before the Tampa game.

It is unfortunate that DJ got that personal foul and ejection. He didnt throw the first punch, but he threw the punch that everyone saw. You have to be more disciplined than that, going after the QB like that is probably going to cost him this week.

Bears have 4 straight against the AFC West coming up and then a game against Seattle. This is the easy part of the schedule. Another 4-1 record in the next 5 should get us into the playoffs.

The entire old AFC West.

Chris Williams had emergency wrist surgery after the game, they said he suffered the same injury that cost Urlacher his 2009 season. I didnt hear one thing about it during the game, but apparently Edwin Williams filled in for a majority of the game

However, in Stafford's defense, those Bears DBs were wide open.

I wouldn't mind a Bears lineman "accidentally" "falling" on one of Suh's knees just to see if he's as willing to take it as much as he tries to give it.

The one play where Suh pushed Cutler down about 4 seconds after he had thrown the ball was basically what kind of player he is in a nutshell. Granted, I'd love to have him on the Bears, but it was pretty funny hearing Billick try to defend him and then 2 minutes later he pulls something like that.

I can't understand for the life of me why we didn't run any screens to Forte today. They were clearly selling out to fill the gaps we exploited in the Monday night game against them, but we never tried to punish them for their overpursuit today.

Cutler didn't play particularly well today, but I still love how he is delivering the ball on those deep in routes...it's almost as if his arm was made for them.

Gotta make sure we don't let down now heading into the AFC West games.

This sounds weird, but it's hard for an offense to develop any kind of rhythm when the defense and special teams keep scoring. I don't think you can really evaluate the offense much this week.

I don't suppose Stafford will get suspended, but he better get one hell of a fine.

You have to run screens against a Wide 9 line.

Martz has at least one WTF playcall per game. I think that's set in stone. Why the hell is Forte throwing the ball? But I think they pretty much shut down the offense in the second half, playing the "we have a big lead" boring, conservative offense. The defense had a problem where it couldn't stop scoring.

The offense was looking good until midway through the 2nd quarter. Then Martz started getting cute and fancy and the offense lost all of its rythm. Also, Bennett disappeared in the second half.

Cutler attempted 6 passes in the second half.

Maybe I should clarify what I meant, the Bears didnt go to him at all in the second half when i thought they should have. I dont think any of those 6 passes were towards Bennett

I was more disappointed with the way the offense played in the first half (outside of the first drive) than the second half. We should have been leading that game 31-6 or something at half. Lucky Stafford decided to throw it to our defensive backfield to open the second half or they could have made a game of it.

Oh hey, Tony Romo had a pretty decent game I guess.

:o

He opened up 13 for 13 with 3 TD's or something...

He's as good as anyone in the league when he's on...unfortunately he's as bad as anyone when he's not...

Or when there's not much on the line.

2 games coming up against the Giants will tell the tale for his season pretty much.
