HeGone33
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) As if they are the same team. Give me a break. Football teams evolve and the Bears have evolved and have been playing a very high level of football. No Shi8$ they've evolved, I'm not saying they haven't. But how about the Saints? They've evolved too. Sorry, a playoff game in round 1 down in NO might not be the lock everyone seems to think it is......

I disagree with you that the Niners are playing better offensively than the Bears. The SF defense has been better, which is giving their offense more opportunities, but I don't think they are better than the Bears offense. The numbers are exteremely close for both teams with the niners having a slight edge in scoring, I'm going by the eye test. It's obovious Cutler > Smith, but I'd take Gore Davis Edwards Crabtree Walker all over any of the bears....

Bah. 3rd most accurate kicker of all time, in Chicago, is f***ing impressive. If he keeps it up for another 6-7 years there's no reason Gould shouldn't be a candidate. Thought that was an interesting presser by Lovie. Are the Bears just trying to keep the fanbase hopeful that Jay will return? Or do they really think it'll only be 5-6 weeks at most? Odd that they didn't give much detail about where the fracture is/what kind of surgery he's going to need.

Not really sure what stats you're looking at...the ones I'm looking at show the Bears having a slight edge in just about everything, except rushing yards, and even in that, we have the same ypa, the Niners just have more attempts due to that defense of theirs. The Niners have also done it against a weaker schedule, IMO, than the Bears have.

dasox24
Why the hell can't Aaron Rodgers get hurt on some fluke injury? Nothing too serious or anything (I don't hate the guy), but a 6-8 week injury would be excellent. Edited November 21, 2011 by dasox24

dasox24
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) Matt Flynn will be starting somewhere next year. I think people overestimate Flynn's ability. It's not terribly difficult to look good in garbage time or in the preseason. Unless Flynn has made just incredible strides in the NFL, he'll never be starter material. I watched this guy plenty at LSU and he was simply an average QB.
