Why are you cheering? And congrats to the Texans, who blew the inside track to a bye by losing to the Panthers at home and then at the Colts. Colts LUCK may have run out tonight pardon the pun. If STL, MINN and IND tie records STL #1 and MINN #2 have a weaker strength of schedule which is the tie-breaker Ouch babe!
LittleHurt05
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 10:31 PM) Any Colts fan cheering at the end of the game tonight is an idiot. Why are you cheering? And congrats to the Texans, who blew the inside track to a bye by losing to the Panthers at home and then at the Colts. They finally are playing like a team that lost their top two QBs, their top 3 in the league receiver, and their stud defensive end. They were hanging in there for a while, but its starting to fall apart.

Stl coach and staff are being fired at years end. I tnink they keep Luck and trade Bradford. Edited December 23, 2011 by Soxfest

Kalapse
I was going off a Dan Wetzel tweet which was a mistake. So looking at non-common opponents the Colts need these teems to win: CHI, DET, GB, ARZ, WASH, DEN, OAK, SD and these teams to lose: HOU, JAC, TEN, BAL, CIN, CLE, PIT, NE. Dear god, the Vikings getting Andrew Luck would be a disaster. Oddly enough, losing the next 2 weeks would be rather beneficial for the Bears. Kalapse
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 22, 2011 -> 11:09 PM) You still may be correct a buddy of mine says it is based on current SOS not at the beginning of the season and IF that is the case IND would still have to win next week then. I just want this whole thing too blow up in the Irsay's face. The info out there isn't totally updated so it's tough to get a good grasp on this things. It'd definitely be based on end-of-season SOS, that being said I don't really see the Bears winning in week 17 so chances are the Colts are getting that #1 pick. cabiness42
How the Colts handle the #1 pick (assuming they don't beat JAX, which isn't a given at this point) is very simple: Pre-draft you tell teams the cost of the #1 pick is their best OT, their best DT, their #1 pick for 2012, and either their #2 pick for 2012 or #1 pick for 2013. See if there might be an idiot owner who would pay that price to upgrade to Luck over, say, Rex Grossman. If not, draft Luck and sit him for a year and see how 2012 goes before deciding how to proceed in the future.

Depending on who the players coming back are, that's much less value than I'd expect them to get for that pick. The starting price ought to be 3-4 draft picks, where the Colts get the guys without having to take back the contracts. Especially if you want to do the th ing I think is a Mistake, keeping Peyton Manning on the roster and paying him a $28 million bonus in March (read that number again before replying), you can't be taking players back for Luck, just picks. Keeping Peyton is a win-now move, so players help you a lot more than draft picks, and there are plenty of creative ways to make the salary cap work. It can be done. QB Josh McCown RB Bell WR Hester WR Bennett? is he playing TE spaeth bears oline. Hester is probably not playing. He didnt practice pretty much all week. The WR starters will probably be Roy and Bennett. Bennett I can live with, Roy...... I actually like Bell, every time he gets an opportunity he gets big chunks of yards. After him it gets a little scary. They just signed ex ND-er Armando Allen from the practice squad to be Bell's backup because Barber is likely out as well. Everything else is just sad
