lostfan
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) I hope that they draft a guard/center or a WR next. Kreutz was an All-American and was drafted round 2. They'll be very good Guards/Centers in round two. WR? Not as much talent-wise. Pretty weak year for WRs. They'll be able to get a DT, CB, or another OL, I think.

knightni
Chad Johnson may be an attention whore but he's rarely as big of a whiner as T.O. and he still performs well. I wonder if he'd be worth a 3rd rounder to the Bears.
knightni
Could the Bears trade up to get Bowers? I wonder what's wrong with him that everyone's passing on him...
Steve9347
QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 05:05 PM) Jerry Angelo f***ed up (as usual and expected) but Baltimore can cry me a f***ing river with that mock indignation of theirs. First of all the trade was never official, and it didn't happen, so where do they get off expecting to get something and the Bears got nothing? That's what a "trade" is, the Bears didn't pick 26th, they picked 29th. It was a trade that fell through, which happens who knows how many times every draft. Baltimore could've turned in their card when they saw time running out, but they didn't. They should know, they did the exact same thing to Minnesota one year. What did Minnesota get for that? Nothing. edit: yeah, so this was already said, maybe I should read the whole thread next time hmm? Nah, I still like seeing the anger, because I agree with every word you typed. Chisoxfn
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) Could the Bears trade up to get Bowers? I wonder what's wrong with him that everyone's passing on him... Some reports indicate that the doctors evaluation said that he has a very high liklihood of never being healthy due to his knee injury (his knees are like a 40 year old). And we already went through that with Tommie. I guess the question is, is a 2 or 3 year upside that is pretty high worth it or are you better finding a guy who might be able to perform for longer but maybe not as high of a level. THe problem is, Bowers could also never play for your NFL franchise really and than it is a horrendous pick (completely wasted). I know one thing, if Bowers and Austin are on the board when we pick, I'll go Austin. I'll take my chances with his character issues and hope that Marinelli can fix him. Chisoxfn
So by having all of these old time players at the draft is the NFL sending some sort of message to the players. Will Gruden every say anything negative about a player?
knightni
Rudolph to the Vikings. He's really good as long as he's recovered from the hamstring tear.
Chisoxfn
Rudolph gives them a s***-ton of offensive weapons. Problem is they need a QB to throw em the ball and I don't think Ponder is that guy. However, with all those weapons, the QB is going to be in a great position to succeed. Vicente and Rudolph at TE is pretty deep. Still, I figure Minny would have more needs than a TE. witesoxfan
So Buffalo...QB? You like Ponder and he gets scooped so then you just say "OK we don't need one." Idiots. Maybe they like Mallet too.

Chisoxfn
I wnated Austin but when Austin went we had to get our DT and Paea has that upside and talent and fills a major need. Happy with our first two picks.
