But for him and ND to keep up this act after he came clean to ND on 12/26 is pathetic. I understand they dont want the distraction but they could have told him to not to comment on any questions regarding her. He was picked by many to be a first round draft pick before the college season even started. Also he was gonna win alot of those awards regardless. If the world finds out he is gay, he will be (improperly and unfortanately) ostracized. He has a "gf" who was in a car accident. (just as tuiassasopo was) what happens? someone finds out he and tuiassasopo are actually gay, - he needs to squash the story somehow so more people dont look into it. so what do they do? tell ppl that the "GF" was killed off so nobody goes asking more questions. maybe that not the simplest answer, but it is perhaps more plausible than him dating a fictional person for an entire year, and intentionally creating a media frenzy about his dead girlfriend for the purpose of publicity.
