You spend a lot of time wasting your time. As for Lance Louis, he played a few decent games this year, but he's a big sonofab**** coming off a blown up knee. I wouldn't worry too much about keeping him around Halas Hall.

I haz no life...Now more than ever. (My life is sports until tax time when i get my car fixed)

Alright if Louis is gone I'm sure you can find another RG for that same $$...Or less, James Brown???

I just don't see Louis being effective in 13/14. Hopefully we are ready to spend 3-4 picks on O lineman and coach the f*** out of them.

Melton is just now figuring out his ability, getting rid of him is stupid. Peppers is invaluable to this tea IMO.

I agree, Im not a huge fan of weakening something good on the hope of turning something bad into something mediocre.

The Bears need to focus on OL/TE. If you get a good TE it helps the OL. I think the most important goal should be to get 1 good lineman. They just need 1 guy that they can feel confident about going 1 on 1 on most downs. Then you build from there.

CTL just said if Arians was hired, Whisenhunt would have bee the OC and Russ Grimm the line coach.

That would have made for a good offense. They worked well together in Pittsburgh.

It makes perfect sense. He is familiar with Kiffin just like he was close with Lovie. He probably doesn't know Trestman, and would be a lame duck with one year left on his deal.

He was far from lame duck.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the Bears offered Marinelli a one-year extension with hopes of enticing him to remain and guide the defense. He already was signed through 2013.

@RapSheet

#Cardinals met with Bruce Arians today. He left with a great feeling. He was rewarded with an offer. Source says he'll be the team's HC.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms the Cardinals have hired Bruce Arians as their head coach.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport had the scoop first that the team had offered Arians the job, while Schefter confirmed the hire minutes after. Schefter says it's a four-year deal for Arians with a team option for a fifth year. As mentioned in the previous post, Arians went 9-3 as interim head coach for the Colts this past season while subbing in for Chuck Pagano. The offensive philosophy under Arians shouldn't change much from the one Ken Whisenhunt ran. They are both pass-first coaches, but Arians fancies himself with a more vertical attack. It remains to be seen who will coordinate the defense, but word is that Arians wants to replace Ray Horton with Todd Bowles.

@seankjensen

#Bears officially announce that Tice, Babich, Bates, DeBord, Drake, Holt and Spencer won't be retained.

Honestly i dont know how Drake stuck around as long as he did. 8 years, and I cannot think of one WR that he actually coached up

I think the Bears fans were lied to, Mgmt said that money wouldn't be a issue with the new hire. The Bears hired a guy that the Browns didn't even want. I think the Bears got the worst hire out of all the new HC.

It's obviously a big risk, but I don't think it has anything to do with them not being able to hire who they wanted. They got who they wanted.
