I like everything the Browns have done. A long struggling franchise, I hope they've finally found a shot. I really like their defense, and they have some pieces on offense to go with.

They've got the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals in their division right? That's a really tough spot to be in.

:huh

After listening to Trestman yesterday and doing research on all the new coaching changes, I changed my mind. The Bears mgmt said money wouldn't be a issue when it comes to the new coach and then they hire a guy on the bottom of the list

How would you rank the new head coaches?

Okay troll.

Trestman seems to have put together a pretty experienced staff. Cavanaugh to QB coach, can't say I was pleased as punch with his record with some horrible QBs in NYJ. But certainly a very experienced coach, having been an OC for 5 years.

Yeah, Cavanaugh doesn't make a ton of sense. This Jimmy Johnson Dave Wannstedt s*** is so old and played.

A gimmick college coach with a total of zero NFL experience (never been any sort of assistant or anything) ought to translate really well to the NFL.

He was literally the only name (ok, only reasonable name, the other was Josh McDaniels) that I didn't want the Bears to consider.

I wanted McCoy, but honestly, I have no idea. Trestman impressed me yesterday, hopefully it works out.

The Bears were never going to hire any coach like Chip Kelly.

Emery is a brand new GM. He is not going to hire a coach who is going to want almost complete control. This is why the names associated with the Bears were guys who did not have a lot of leverage. The only finalist who did, Arians, was hired by another team.

And Kelly is going to be an interesting experiment in the NFL. I wouldnt have wanted him for the Bears, his system would make no sense with what the Bears have.

Tice was an experience coach and he did a lousy job the last few years. Ask the Jets fans how they really feel about Cavanaugh

Trestman has basically no relationships with current NFL coaches. It makes perfect sense that he is hiring guys that he was familiar with in the 90s.

He seems to come up a lot around Sean Paytons staff.
