The 49ers will be 12-4. They will face the Texans in the Superbowl.

I have a feeling you will be one disappointed football fan come winter. Given their weak division, the 49ers may host a playoff game, but I think they will be more in the range of 8 or 9 wins.

I usually get pretty excited for the first preseason game, but by the second i'm done. I can only watch 5th string players play so much.

I'd be more excited if I wasn't forced to buy full price tickets for both games. On StubHub, they go for less than 50% face because it's such a hot ticket. Donated tonight's tickets to charity for the tax write off. Even Packers tickets are super cheap on StubHub.

Marshall and Bush were great pickups for the Bears.

Predictions

Green Bay 12-4

Detroit 11-5

Bears 9-7

The 49ers will be 12-4. They will face the Texans in the Superbowl.

So, the Bears' had two "great" pickups, they have their whole team back, they added depth to their already-great ST unit, and yet, you have them 9-7. Logical.

NFC North plays AFC South and NFC West this year. I'll be shocked if the combined win total for GB-DET-CHI is only 32.

Nonsense...the NFC West is great. They have the 49ers, which is the greatest team ever assembled led by the best QB taken in the 2005 draft. The Seahawks have TO and Golden Tate. The Cardinals have Larry Fitzgerald AND Michael Floyd (UNFAIR!). Sam Bradford is healthy again plus Jeff Fisher is now the coach and he won a whole 54 games in his last 7 years with the Titans.

Oh, and as for the AFC South, don't forget how great Indy's defense is, how good Blaine Gabbert is, and Tennessee is just great getting to the QB.

Paper games are fun. Any one of these can go either way

The D isnt nearly as bad as you think it is gonna be, and adding the offense they did is worth way more than 1 game in the win column

So the Bears are so bad they can't beat one of the tough teams on their schedule outside of splitting with the Lions?

I just see an older D and a tough schedule, so that is why I have the Bears 9-7.

tell me where I am wrong. Which teams do you think they can beat?

I don't see the Bears winning away games at Dallas, GB, and SF

If you are picking the Bears to lose to Carolina today, you won't be taken seriously.

They can beat all those teams, although wouldn't expect more than a split vs Packers. Will they win all those games I don't know, but I would consider them favorites vs Dallas/Carolina and it be a tossup between SanFran/Houston

The Bears won't beat the 49ers in San Fran.

Bears have 4 starting players on D that are over 30. The rest of the D is pretty young.

The problem is that the 4 best players on defense are the older ones.

I believe its 5 players. I also dont consider Peppers a guy who is slowed down with his age and Isreal will be rotated out quite a bit on passing downs. The secondary is young other than Peanut.
