kapkomet
My youngest is a little smile factory. She's always happy. I think as a parent, if your kids are happy and growing up right (manners, learning, etc.), as a parent you're living life right. It's a nice reflection of what a family is supposed to be, even with the day to day stuff. You get a certain joy knowing that your kids are in a happy place. And it about kills you when they're not. JPN366
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 09:32 AM) [/b] The only thing better is roughhousing with your kids. And that. Even if they're stomping on your ribcage.
CanOfCorn
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) And that. Even if they're stomping on your ribcage. My older son literally jumps on me from the couch. Or it's a running jump on my back landing on his knees. It hurts, but it makes me laugh every time. hogan873
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) And that. Even if they're stomping on your ribcage. I was rough housing with my kids when I suddenly felt a pop and then pain in my right knee. I literally couldn't walk on it for a few minutes, and I seriously considered going to the hospital. But after about 30 minutes and a beer, I felt better...and subsequently began rough housing again. I remember rough housing with my dad and how much it meant to me when I was a little kid. I want to ensure my kids have good memories like that, too. And, I'll want them to rough house with their kids because I'll be too damn old by then.
