Soxbadger
Wisconsin - Cuse should be an interesting contrast of style. Cuse- always zone Wisconsin- always man If Wisconsin shoots well, it could be a good one.
ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 04:20 PM) Wisconsin - Cuse should be an interesting contrast of style. Cuse- always zone Wisconsin- always man If Wisconsin shoots well, it could be a good one. Cuse - thrives on points off turnovers and transition game Wisconsin - doesn't turn it over Cuse - can't rebound Wisconsin - not known for it either Cuse - loves fast tempo Wisonsin - plays slower than anyone in the country This is such an intriguing matchup. I want to say Syracuse wins, but whenever I try to justify it, I keep coming to a conclusion of Wisconsin winning
Soxbadger
Well rebounding is on the Wisconsin offensive boards. Cuse is generally bad at defensive rebounds because they play zone and try and break, Wisconsin is bad at offensive rebounds because they get back on defense to stop transition. Soxbadger
The bad call on Bergeren really hurt because that was 2 at 10 minutes left in the 1st half. That being said, Wisconsin is controlling pace and hopefully slight lead or even at half.
Soxbadger
Yep without Bergeren just a completely different offense. Doesnt help that Syracuse cant miss. Hopefully can get it to 6 or so at the half and then be back to full strength.
Jenksismyhero
Does Bo Ryan not know how to use a timeout? How can you let Cuse go on a 13-0 run without a timeout?
WilliamTell
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 06:46 PM) The bad call on Bergeren really hurt because that was 2 at 10 minutes left in the 1st half. That being said, Wisconsin is controlling pace and hopefully slight lead or even at half. Not controlling it anymore unfortunately. I have a vendetta against Syracuse this tournament because I feel they should've been out their first game. Come on Badgers!
Soxbadger
Bo Ryan doesnt call timeouts to stop flow (at least not in the first half). There is nothing really Wisconsin can do. Kaminsky is a freshman playing against a zone, its just a recipe for disaster. Need to get through the half.
Soxbadger
Well that was a bad call, Gasser walks into the Syracuse guy.
Soxbadger
I guess the Syracuse players didnt realize that Wisconsin had a foul to give and were just trying to foul there. Edited March 23, 2012 by Soxbadger
Soxbadger
Within striking distance, just have to hope Syracuse starts missing more shots.
Brian
Badger, do Wisconsin fans like Evans in general? I don't know what to think of him. I don't see as much Wisc ball as you but when I do, he rarely hits a jump shot.
Soxbadger
Evans is frustrating. Hes good from mid range and closer, but he loves to settle for outside shots for no reason. Hes a pretty good defender.
Soxbadger
Wisconsin crashing the boards a little bit more, well see if Syracuse notices and tries to break more.
Soxbadger
They keep talking about Syracuse defense, but Wisconsin has scored 41 points and still have a half to play. Against Michigan they only scored 41 points in an entire game...

Soxbadger
Need to switch and play soft on the pick and roll. Let them take jump shots.
Soxbadger
Well that defense was the point and if Syracuse makes those, Wisconsin likely cant keep up, because theres just no way that they can make every three. Just gotta keep it close and hope they are the team who is more battle tested.
Brian
Too bad Wisconsin doesn't have a guy that can go on the baseline and explode to the rim before D rotates. Doesn't have to dunk it. Just go up strong.
