BigEdWalsh
Maybe if I start a game thread the Sox can win a game. No lineup yet. Wake up, Gonzales!
flavum
6 cuts today, and one addition: Short, Infante (both injured) Omogrosso, Petricka, Espino, Young sent down Tyler Saladino has been added to major league camp. Why, I don't know. 51 left in camp. I was hoping for more than that. 25 pitchers are still around. Edited March 14, 2012 by flavum

CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Says there's a webcast @whitesox.com but every time I click on the link I get a calendar. Should've started already.
fathom
Sale escaped the first after an infield single and hitting Pujols (followed by wp/pb). I still have concerns about Sale going up regularly against lineups full of righties, but he still has such huge potential.

fathom
First time seeing Rios bat this spring, and doesn't look like much changed in his swing. Putting him in the 3 spot and not making him earn it is a mistake, in my opinion.

flavum
Alexei smoked Ervin Santana in the shoulder, it looked like. He's out. Hopefully precautionary. Edited March 14, 2012 by flavum

fathom
QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Pujols 3-run homer post-botched run down. 4-2 LAA, 3rd Besides for having to face lineups stacked with righties, Sale's biggest adjustment might be having to face hitters the second time around. flavum
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) Does he? I only saw his first AB today. He called off Saladino at 2B. Then he dropped the ball. Albert with his 2nd homer, this time off Anthony Carter. We don't need 25 pitchers in camp anymore.

Balta1701
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 14, 2012 -> 05:26 PM) Does he? I only saw his first AB today. There's very little different in his actual position at the plate between when he's succeeding and failing...it's all in how he uses his legs and wrist when he actually swings. When he got on a brief role last year, he still set up the same, but you could tell he suddenly was getting more action out of his legs and hips, then he went back to swinging with just his arms.
