Viciedo gets less than 400 at bats, either because of injury or because of being treated as a platoon player.

Alex Rios has a good enough first half that he would be tradeable and people call about him, but the Sox elect to hold onto him and he has a poor 2nd half.

If Sale wins 17, the Sox will win the division.

Viciedo hits 25 HRs - leads all A.L. OF in assists.

Maybe.

Dunn hits .260 and walks more than he Ks.

Not going to happen (the k/bb part)

Morel wins the Gold Glove over Longoria at 3b when he hits 20 HR and bats .310.

Hope so.

Addison Reed saves more games than Matt Thornton.

That's not bold in my book.

My bold predictions:

Humber makes the All-Star team.

Peavy stays healthy.

Konerko top-5 MVP

Sox trade for Ichiro at deadline.

Three years too late.

I don't think at this point in his career, he would have enough of an effect to off-set his huge contract dollars with an uptick in attendance and souvenir/merchandise sales.

Probably, it would be Viciedo and prospects going the other way. No thanks.

With the SOX finally being able to rid themselves of ONE big contract, they're not going to add another....unless by some miracle Dunn and Rios are both living up to their contracts at the time of the deal and the White Sox are in first. Of course, to get to that point, Viciedo would have to be making a big contribution.

It's the typical big/splashy KW move, but I don't think Reinsdorf and the Board would sign off on that one.

Ichiro is a free-agent after next year and the Sox will have traded Viciedo for BJ Upton in June anyhow.

1) Addison Reed wins ROY

2) Morel-Alexei-Beckham all win Gold Gloves as the Sox have the fewest errors in the league.

3) De Aza and Humber make the All-Star game. PK gets in on the fan vote.

4) Sale wins 15+, Viciedo hits 30 HR.

5) Following a championship, Rose plays some RF for Rios, who hits the DL.

6) Adam Dunn puts up non-2011 Adam Dunn numbers.

7) Sox win the division.

Edit: If the above other than 5 happens, Robin gets Manager of the Year and we all sing Kenny's praises.

The first 'Fire Robin' thread appears before April 23, this despite the fact that the Sox start out of the gate pretty well.

You already won that one. Unless you mean a serious thread (if there is such a thing).

The offense isn't completely boring for 5 months out of 6.

The team goes on a winning streak for 8-9-10 games and/or a streak with 20 or more wins and 10 or fewer losses...don't think 26-5 can be replicated, though.

Seems like in 2009 and 2011, the Sox could never get a hot streak started and carry the momentum for more than a week or two, especially last year.

At least in 2009, we had the excitement of Buehrle's no-hitter, Thome, adding Peavy and Rios, all the trade talk from May through July, etc. And the Barons were a ton of fun to follow in April and May.
