Is this the right thing to do with Flowers? I don't know that I see him as someone who needs "fixing". What if he's just a patient fastball hitter who has some pop?

To me the main question is can he catch, and if so..I don't need major changes offensively from him. If he can't, then he doesn't play.

There's still some real room for improvement offensively from him if he can slightly cut down on the strikeouts.

3 run homer off the bat of Viciedo.

DJ called it, down the left-field line...one-armed swing.

Apparently, there's a wicked cross-wind blowing across the field....off the bat, it looked way foul.

Wind playing tricks with the Reds' OF this inning.

Worst HR call ever for Viciedo.

"That's foul.

It's comin' back it's a fair ball and you can put it on the board y-es!"

It was a fitting call for how bad that swing was.

Viciedo took a good pitch off the end of the bat and still hit it probably 350 feet. WInd helped a little but man. He makes bad contact and it's a HR.

No DJ, it's not TRAY-CIE Thompson.

C'mon. At least it can't get any worse than Melton. Unless he's doing the Brewers game tmrw, we've survived/escaped his "analysis" for yet another year, except on Comcast.

Flowers hits the ball so hard it can't quite get out...absolutely hammered.

Mitchell 9/25 (.360) on the spring and opening up lots of eyes again.

Viciedo 5 for his last 13, at least up to a more respectable .189, compared to where he was a week ago.

Right now, the biggest concern for the line-up has to be Rios, with the pitching staff, no idea what we'll get out of Peavy at this point.

Eric Morrison clears the bases with a triple. 11-4 now. 6 runs now and counting.

Wonder if he's related to old Sox 3B Jim "Light My Fire" Morrison?

Supposedly, Manto's really been working with them on 2 strike hitting up the middle.

Mitchell now 10 for 26 (.385), showing off his speed as the Reds made two "unforced" errors with Jared at 1st and 3rd.

Thompson with a liner right to 3B, well struck.

Ludwick and Heisey homers off Zach Stewart. Now 5 runs given up by Zach in 1 2/3rd's.

Might have to bring back Bruney, Axelrod or Stults.
