LittleHurt05
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 08:31 AM) Two is huge. Have they beaten anyone away from home? I feel like all their big wins this year are at home. Iowa & Purdue. But they still have to visit OSU, Michigan, MSU & Minnesota. What a brutal second half schedule. illinilaw08
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) I thought IU played good ball till the last 2 min where they looked tentative and their shots didn't fall. As soon as the whistles went away they wilted. An IU fan co-worker of mine (working in Indy, most of them are) was putting a positive spin on the game last night that I thought was interesting. Crean can point to this game going forward as Exhibit A for what happens when you get complacent late in a game which could certainly pay dividends in March. The first 37 minutes don't matter if you don't close. Giddy still from last night. 4-4 the rest of the way, plus one win in the Conference Tournament, I think solidly puts Illinois in given the quality of some of their wins. Hopefully they come out with the same energy and intensity this weekend @Minnesota.
Jenksismyhero
Yeah, they were really front loaded with the crap games on the road, good games at home in the first half, and then the opposite the second half. We'll see how good they really are in the next few weeks. I think if Illinois can get to 6 wins, and win a game in the tournament they'd be in no question. Those 4 wins are huge, and they don't have a lot of "bad" losses. The committee chairman last night basically said conference record doesn't matter. Beat the lower tier teams and try to steal one of those other games and there's no question they're in.

The shirtless guy that is the first on the floor is a good friend of mine, makes this gif hilarious to me.
Jenksismyhero
I still don't understand what Zeller was doing. Yogi was right there to guard the 3 pt line for any kickback to Griffey. And he's got McClaurin who can't shoot at all. He should have been in the paint the entire play regardless of what Sam did. On the radio this morning Groce said they ran that play three times - twice to Richardson for threes and then the game winner.
bmags
Alright, Haith sucks. Can't stand teams that are worse than the sum of their parts. This far into the season, to play this boneheaded and for the defense to be so lost so often. Can't stand it.

Rowand44
Just bought my tickets for Arch Madness. Funny thing is I wont be able to get to the Lou until Thursday night so SIU will probably already be gone once I arrive.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) Nate Wolters dropped 53 tonight. Hopefully he gets another shot in the tourney though ND State is just better and Western plays like the slowest tempo ever which would be interesting in a tournament setting. f*** SDSU
clyons
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 08:33 PM) Its going to be a strange year. But if Illinois is in the top 7 of the Big 10, I think they make the tournament. Agreed. Seven teams from this conference is certainly possible. Especially if the 7th has the quality wins of an Illinois.

zenryan
I hate seeing an adult exploit a kid's emotions like that just so the adult can get some attention online but I am kinda looking forward to part 2 of this when Indiana loses in the tournament. Soxbadger
Wisconsin is jsut getting beaten by Michigan on the screen. They need to just start switching and see what happens. Giving up way to many shots near the basket.
Brian
Burke not finishing around hoop. Ugh
Soxbadger
Based on the last 2 offensive possessions Wisconsin really doesnt have anyone to blame but themselves. Its just stupid what they do in important moments some times.
Soxbadger
I assume Michigan will call some sort of ball screen action with a big and burke. If I was Wisconsin id just switch and let Burke go 1-1 with the big, hopefully forcing a jump shot/ fade away. Ideally you get it under 12 seconds and tehns tart going for steals with 3 fouls to give.
Brian
Wow! What a shot by Tim Jr. Thought for sure Burke would settle for long fade away like Badger said.
