I thought he was just referring to the fact that the score was 88-88 after regulation, or even 97-94 after 1 OT. That's a lot of points, for both teams.

I think it's quite clear that's what he meant. My response remains the same.

Yeah...that wasn't a good comeback. The D in that game wasn't there.

Having watched the game, the transitional d was lacking, but UCLA was hitting a lot of contested 18 footers, about the least successful shot in the game. The teams were making nba shots all game, it was a real pleasure to watch that game. But I think that pace eventually wore down pressed. Mizzou really needs to find a competent backup at that point. We really needed Dixon for that.

Can't wait to see the Oladipo-Brandon Paul matchup. Should be fun. I would think Oladipo would be on Trey Burke too...not as sure about Deshaun Thomas. That might be some weird combination of Oladipo/Sheehey/Watford. I haven't watched OSU enough to know exactly where Thomas plays in relation to the other players on the court, but I'm assuming he's all over.

Big 10 play gonna be awesome, except when Iowa, NW, or PSU play.

Iowa could be pretty decent. Maybe not a tournament team because the conference is so deep, but games in Iowa City won't be easy, and they may surprise you on the road if you sleep on them.

EDIT: Their non-conference schedule didn't do them any favors, though. Speaking of, I would like IU's to get tougher. Another marquee opponent (Louisville?) and a legit road game or two.

Iowa will lose some games they should win since they start 3 freshmen a sophomore and a junior, but they will win some games no one thinks they can. Probably NIT bound, but assuming no injuries, their days as a doormat are finally over.

Ya Iowa at home will upset one of the big boys.

Apparently Tom Crean likes to try to help people get their car out of a ditch.

Not surprised the kid skidded out there. 45 can get pretty twisty/turny east of Bloomington; there's no way I'd want to be on there in snow.

Im waiting for the reports that Crean put someone else in the ditch to replace him.

Although I'm sure you'd prefer it boring, Iowa-IU could be fun too. We will see.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply IU-Iowa wouldn't be fun. I was just referring to the games I didn't realize were today. Yeah, it definitely should be a good game. First true road game, we've lost 4 straight there, an improved Hawkeye squad...should be a good game. I expect to win, but it should be close, and while it would be an upset if Iowa wins, it wouldn't shock me either. It won't be a surprise if we come out flat, but we're in trouble if we do, as we won't be able to get back into the game as easily as most of our non-conference games.

Apologies to Iowa. I stereotyped them to be awful before I saw thm. Definitely have talent.

Well...after the years of sucking, it is easy to do so. They made it tough on Indiana. Still probably not a tourney team (NIT bound) but they are headed in the right direction. Really really like Fran. Plus they improved their facilities which was huge.

I agree w/ Dakich that Oladipo has been Indiana's best player all season.

Agreed. Hit some clutch shots today too.

Hulls with possibly the worst performance of his career. Road wins in the Big Ten don't have to be pretty; I'll take it.

Iowa's good. They should be competitive in the Big Ten this year, and I think they pretty much return everyone next year.
